Anyone have a London hotel suggestion. We are looking for a 4 star. Thinking of the Millennium Bailey's. Trying to keep the cost around 85 pounds a night.
Also the Kensington area seems fairly central.

I have stayed at the Millennium Knightsbridge (right by Harrods) and the Crown Plaza St. James (right by Buckingham Palace) and would recommend both of them in a heartbeat. Very convenient to tubes and buses. Not sure if they're in your price range though.
I've stayed at the Millennium Gloucester. Very nice property right along the jump on jump off bus route. Seemed well located as one day I walked to many of the "points of interest".... though I walked a long way! <G>
Steve, I'm still catching up form my two days away. But I wanted to tell you that Keith and I stayed at the Millenium Glouster as well. We found it to be very convenient and the rooms large for a London hotel. We did think food and drink there were incredibly expensive. For example, we had two drinks each in the bar; the bill was $50. There were also a couple of problems while we stayed there, b ut these were immediately taken care of.
We have stayed at The Kensington Close Hotel a few years ago. It was just a 5 minute walk to the underground station. Don't know if it is still operating (should be) or what the room charges are now. The London Tara Hotel is in that same street. Both are very convenient for transport, stores, etc. Enjoy your stay and have a great time.
