Default Quadruple bypass surgery...

well mates, my family has just returned from a lonnnnggg day at the hospital where my father in law had a surprise Quadruple Bypass Surgery this afternoon ! He has been a heart patient for over 20 years, but has maintained his health which has started causing problems more so lately... his annual EKG yesterday was cause for alarm and the angiogram this morning showed a splint could not fix the problem. My FIL is only 63 and he works a hard labor intensified job, rides his bike 10 miles every day - the surgeon said the heart itself was very strong so we are planning on a very successful recovery ! Im exhausted & need to rest before I return in the am.... please keep him in your thoughts ! Thanks for your compassion !!

Steph (very worried) in TX

We get mad at having to go through so many tests sometimes, but it's that extra one that will lead to fixing us in a hurry. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and take care of yourselves at the same time. Lynne

Steph.. it's actually GREAT news that they found the blockages. The Drs. are so good at this procedure now, that it isn't going to be long at all until your F-I-L is running and jumping again.

It's amazing what doctors can do these days with situations that seem so serious, but they can handle it as routine.

Best wishes to you and your family....you are in my thoughts....

Steph....adding your dear one to our prayer list. Our thoughts are with you & your family. We have been spending a lot of time at hospitals ourselves with loved ones.

Get some rest & keep us up-dated.

Steph, I am glad the surgery went fine. It is a good thing they found it before it blocked all up! I am wishing him a speedy recovery! Sincerely, Brenda
