Default Carnival buy 1 get 1 free from car dealer.....

A local car dealer in NE Ohio is offering a special promotion this saturday. If you test drive one of their Chrysler cars, they will give you a FREE carnival cruise. Any carnival cruise. They way it works, is you tell them which cruise and the lowest price, and you pay for one, and they pay for the other. Seems all to easy. I called them and asked them if there was a limit, and he said no, a 3 day, 7 day, 10 day, you give them the price and date, and you buy one, and they buy the 2nd for you. I might have to go and check it out. It is only a 50 minute drive from my house to the car dealer.

Will have to check it out with my hubby, to see if he wants to go or not, then will report back to let everyone know what happenS!

my experience is when something sounds to good to be true, there is usually a catch and then when you throw in a car dealer and they say you only have to do a "test drive", I would be even more concern and want to see the "fine print", so if it's for real, please let everyone know and I'll fly to Ohio (smile)..good luck

There is a catch. You pay the top price and they pay the bottom, which is what you would pay anyway. You don't save any money but they get you in a corner because you want the cruise bad.
Go figure.

We used to give out these "prizes" at our karaoke events we did in bars. Free airfare to Florida provided you stayed 3 nights at the required hotels. Worked out to the same thing, but to the uninformed, they were awesome prizes. We gave away hundreds, cost us nothing. The travel company should have PAID US, actually.

Years ago we received a "free" cruise for 2 (I believe it was Carnival as well) for touring a time share property in California. I was asked to put $50 down on the "free" cruise which was put in an "escrow" account. The $50 was to cover port taxes I think. We never did take the cruise because the "black out dates" outnumbered the allowed dates. I never did get my $50 back but I never asked for it back either. So, in the end someone won something -- and that someone would be a travel agent somewhere in Florida.
