For some reason he can read posts but can't post anything. He sent me an e-mail and I told him I will post it here. Bon Voyage Jack!!!!
Sue & Rick,
We're glad to see from the CM board that you "made it through the
night", and that you live to fight another day. Are you still living in
Punta Gorda, or did you move a while back? Anyway, thank God you're okay
(so to speak). We're praying for all the folks in Punta Gorda and
Charlotte County. What a tragedy!
I can't post on CruiseMates any more (their system and my WebTV terminal
don't see eye to eye), but I can still read the posts. It's funny,
because I can still post on CruiseCritics and on Cruise@ddicts. Go
figure! I had read a while back abut the problems you had been having
with your daugter, and I hope that things are now a little better. Hang
in there, Sue. And I hope that your health is getting better as well.
We came though the storm very well, all things considered. We lost power
for 2 days and telephone service for 4 days, but we were a lot luckier
than you folks in SW Fla. Our property damage was minimal (a couple of
trees and some roof shingles), and we thank the Lord for that.
We leave Orlando next Saturday (8/28) for London and our Baltic cruise.
We'll be in Warnemunde for one day following passage through the Kiel
Canal, but we've decided to skip Berlin this time. By the way, do you
know is anyone has heard from KarenSuzanne lately? I sent her an email a
month ago, but never received a reply. I think she moved from the
BrunsbŁttel area to Dresden, but I'm not sure.
We wish you well, and hope that your recovery from Charley proceeds as
quickly and as painlessly as possible. God bless you and your family.
Please tell the CruiseMates family that we said "hello".
