I don't know how many hockey fans I'll find (especially Team Canada). But, I just had to say it. Now if we only had an NHL season to look forward to after our cruise. What do you do in Canada all winter if there is no hockey?
Hi Nancy, Even I have been hoping for Team Canada wins each game! It's a simple case of National Pride!! Saw the highlights last night-close game! They must feel so much pressure to win! Saw a glimpse of Wayne's daughter singing the Nat'l Anthem;thought that was strange until I remembered her Mum is an American actress!!lol Was she a good singer??lol Next game is Tues.!?!
As for the NHL-who cares;overpaid whiners!!!!

VALOR Jan/05-our first family cruise was great!
EEK!! Well, I'm not really a Team Canada Fan, but I do hope they win! My Bruins Captain is on the team so I must support him now that the U.S. is out. As for the most likely not upcoming hockey season..................Myself and my family will sink into deep and utter despair if they don't play. We literally plan our schedules around hockey games. The players union is making a big mistake here.
at "can't stand hockey" Sheesh what do you like? Baseball, Bowling? Tennis? Frisbee? Man no sport is more fast, and exciting then hockey. Its amazing how those guys(and girls) can get up on those skates and skate so fast and so good, and do some puck handling all at the same time! Its not that difficult to dripple a basketball and run down the court at the same time, its not that difficult to pitch a ball or hit one and run to bases.
Its really sad knowing that there may be no NHL Season this year. I'm going to have to stick to AHL games or even UHL games. Because I don't know if I can go a whole winter without seeing a hockey game. I'm not from Canada, but if USA doesn't win I do hope for Canada. And if not USA or Canada, then Russia. But in this case GO CANADA GO!
I don't even really watch the World Cup. But I guess its cool to know who wins. And I did watch a couple USA games, mostly because I may not see another hockey game on tv for a very long time!

Kim, this is a soccer town ! Had all three kids in it last year, now that was a Saturday morning logistical nightmare! Everyone plays soccer! Lacross is big here also, and I guess that is a lot like hockey.
Personally we are a track and field family, son is a polevaulter, and my dad is a coach for the city team.
