As many of you know I had a really long spring with my father in law after he fell and broke 4 ribs and the complications of all that. Lately he'd been doing great.....he got to finally leave the hospital in July ( he was admitted in April!) and my brother in law had been living with him and things were going slowly but surely.
My husband called me at work this am to tell me his dad had collapsed and he was going to meet his dad and brother at the ER. By the time I got there it was pretty much over..........he'd had a heart attack.
My father in law was one of the sweetest people on earth.........nurses who didn't really even know him fell in love with him and I can't believe he's gone.
I had a friend of my daughters drive me up to her school in Jax today because I didn't feel like we could give her the news over the phone. We drove back to Orlando together.
Thanks for listening Cruisemates.....I feel lucky that my kids got to cruise with their grandparents to the Bahamas, Alaska and Scandinavia.
Location: Wisconsin....about 100 miles south of the Frozen Tundra and 70 miles east of Camp Randall

Angela, a photo memory board is such a wonderful touch. The last few funerals I have been to, there were wonderful family photographic memories on display - a wonderful tribute to some wonderful people!
