Default I am so happy, we leave in 2 days, but.....need your help

Our cruise the SOS leaving 9-20 out of Pt. Canaveral looks like it will be spared from TS Jeanne. I read on the RCL website that we will go to Miami on Tues. instead of Coco Cay. While I was prepared for not going to Coco Cay because of damage from Frances, I know nothing about Miami. Can anyone tell me anything cool to do in Miami? We are 3 couples in our early 30's, not big drinkers either. Help. I would just as soon stay on the boat, but I would like to tell the group something we could do if they so choose. Thanks!

I'm sure they will have various shore excursions for you to check out, our Carnival activities director worked very hard when our itinerary changed to schedule things for us to do at unexpected ports, so I wouldn't worry about it.

When we stayed in Miami the night before our cruise, we went to the boardwalk and had dinner, which was very nice....lots of shopping there too...

Enjoy, and I'm sure you'll have a great time wherever you end up!

Bayfront Park is fun. It is not far from the cruise ship terminal. The last time I was there they had a trolley that you could take for a tour of the city of Miami. There are a lot of vendors there with clothing and souvenir items to sell. Many wonderful waterfront reataurants there too.

If it's an all day stop there are plenty of offshore fishing trips to take. You can go on party boats (buy a ticket per person) or charters (usually 6 people on a private fishing boat).

Regards,
Thomas

Bon Voyage Bethany.

I wish I could give you some advice, but the ideas you've been given sound pretty good to me. Have a great cruise with blue skies and calm seas.

Phyll

If you've never been to Miami before, I'd suggest a taxi to South Beach. Easy to spend the better part of a day just wandering and people watching.

Tons of great restaurants on shops along Lincoln Rd. close by as well.

Bayside MarketPlace is closer to the pier, but more oddities for the eyes along South Beach.
