Default Still no power

Just checking in quickly. Still no power and reports it may be out until Thursday.....That's NEXT Thursday Oct 7th. 8^( Hopefully it will be much sooner and they are giving themselves lots of room for error. Phone lines are getting shakey because of loss of power so they go in and out. Power fluxuates on generator so not online much. Take care.
Jim

Hi Jim;
Sorry to hear you're in an area where there is a problem with bringing the power back up. We were out for about 36 hours here in Lakeland, and that was quite enough to drive me a bit wacky. You really don't realize how much you depend on the power until you don't have it for awhile. Isn't it amazing how you walk into a room and reach for the light switch,,,,every time!!!!! Our news anchor over in Tampa admitted that when his power went out, and he lost the Air Conditioning, the first thing he did was turn on his fan....Hang in there, and it will be back soon,,,,,with any luck.
God bless,
Ken

As stated we were without power for about 9 1/2 hours. Lucky for us. As soon as the power went down I called the reporting hotline to let them know ours was out. Wonder if that had any reason for ours to be back so soon. Well never mine just dreaming.

We have worked for 2 days now on the yard raking and picking up debris. Tire we are but the yard looks pretty good now. We have very large plant beds with fern and Crotons. The limbs and twigs all have to be removed or at least most. The street is lined with about 10 large plastic bags and a very large pile of limbs. No telling when they will come and pick it up. Some locations here still have debris piles that were made by Charley. And some folks are still without power from Charley.

just a little FYI.... When your power goes out, the electic company already knows about it. They have power grids that tell them as soon as it happens, so there is not need to call them unless it is for days and days under normal condition. Due to Hurricanes may take allot longer, but they still know about the outage without being notified by residents.

Hang in there all you Floridians.

Florida Power & Light (if you have them) are doing a great job. They are way over their budget and are understaffed, but they are bringing people from other states to help out.

They are getting back power faster than they did from Hurricane Andrew. They now know how to handle these situations

My hubby is an ex-FPLer, he's since retired after 37 years with them, and they really try hard to get everyone back with power.

I feel you you guys out there since I know exactly what you are going through.
