I feel like it's been forever since I've posted but in real life it's only been a couple of weeks.
Jack and Kim.........glad to see you back online and thanks for your email.
I guess if there's such a thing as a good ending we gave one to my father in law......we tucked some of his General Electric business cards from before he retired into his pocket and some of his favorite hard candy into his pocket and covered him with his favorite blanket so he'd be ready wherever he ends up.........and we can only imagine that my mother in law (who passed in 2001) greeted him with "well, it took you long enough!"
Thanks everyone for all your kind messages through his recovery and subsequent passing/
What a thoughtful gesture Angela. We should have buried my dad (21 years ago) with a pocketful of peppermints, because he never went anywhere without them!
Glad to see you posting again, don't be a stranger!
What a sweet thing to do. He will be warm and happy in heaven. My sincere sympathies to you and yours.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
Angela, Nice to hear from you.
I think that is a neat thing re:your FIL's burial. We did similar things to my Mum (and Dad).
I am hoping things are going great for your daughter and son at school. I hope your Dad is doing okay where he is. Take care.

VALOR Jan/05-our first family cruise was great!
We've just gotten back from our cruise this week and then had the Hurricane left-overs to reckon with.KimJack sent us a nice email, too.Our server has been off and on so haven't been on consistently, either.
Your send off for your father-in-law is very touching, and I'm sure he received a wonderful reception upon entering Heaven.
Take care, and let's hope that our Fall is much more normal than our Summer. Love, Lynne
