Well, gang, I stuffed all I could in my suitcase so I think I'm ready to hit the road tomorrow evening, British Airways flight 9:00 p.m. out of OHare!
I'm working tomorrow, otherwise I'd drive myself crazy waiting, checking and rechecking everything!
Diane leaves from Denver and we meet up Wed. a.m. at Heathrow, flying together to Rome.
I'm very excited and can't believe my 17 day land trip is finally here, talk to you again around Halloween, I think, unless I see an internet cafe somewhere!!! :-)
Yay for you! I just returned from 15 days in Tuscany and had a wonderful time! Also took British Air from LAX through Heathrow/Gatwick to Pisa. The people were so wonderful and I was so impressed with the old buildings and how well they were preserved - from the 11th century! Hope you get to go to Vinci, Greve in Chianti, Certaldo Alto, some of the smaller towns. Also, I can recommend a fun book for you to read called "Too Much Tuscan Sun" which was written by a tour guide and intersperses hilarious tales of some of his clients mixed in with very informative history and cultural details - especially the info on Sienna. Have a wonderful trip - ciao!
Susie, Say hi to The Dom and Guido for me. Enjoy and taste everything you can. That is one of the few places I can tolerate going without being on a ship.

Susie, have a great time. Make sure you keep track of all the things you do so you can tell us all about it upon your return. You'll be missed. Have fun!
