Default Halloween Candy

The Thanksgiving Leftovers reminded me of Halloween Candy . (lol Donna)

Okay. I admit it. I bought some miniature Snickers bars with glow in the dark wrappers for Halloween Trick or Treaters. Nevermind that we will not have ANY little ghosts or goblins knocking on our door. But 'someone' is stealing away those chocolate treats a little everyday, as the mound in the bowl has now become a dip.

Anyone else buy Halloween candy that never makes it's way into the little one's trick or treat bags?

OK , Merm and RollerD, Knock it off about the food and candy… Drooling on the keyboard is not goodddddd dddddd ddddddd ddd dd… . . .. !
Reese's don't have a prayer of surviving around me. About 10 years ago I won Reese’s eating contest. I ate 51 full size cups, and amazingly, they remain to be my favorite candy.

Mermaid:
That is the funniest question I've heard in a long time. For me the question should be: Do you have candy that actually makes it to the trick or treat bags?

Where we live we get no trick or treaters. Our neighbors kids are past that stage. Each year I buy six of the large (8 oz.) Lindt, milk chocolate bars. If anyone shows up at my house they are going to get a treat. If no one shows up then I get the treat. :-)

Take care,
Mike

Even though we live in a neighborhood with kids in it, we rarely get trick or treaters at our house - they seem to skip our little street. So, we ALWAYS end up with the candy...reeses, snickers, m&m's.......none of them survive here!

This time of year we decorate the house in mini bar wrapper motif. I view it as my responsibility to make sure we have enough wrappers ...by consuming the unwanted ingredients inside them.

Mermaid, I am guilty. That is why I TRY to leave buying the candy until at least mid-Oct.-OH! That is soon!!!!
We are never sure how many kids we will have:20,30,or 40. So we always buy plenty(of our favourite types of course!!).

Mermaid,
What an interesting question! My DH will always remind me to "get the good candy" for trick or treaters. He means, of course, his favorites (Hershey's anything, Snickers, Baby Ruth, etc.) We aren't going to mention that we really aren't home on that night, as we visit both sets of grandkids to see their costumes & then go out to dinner. And he's put on 5 pounds ............... how ???? ............................ Cathy

We've already eaten 4 bags of halloween candy and 5 bags of candy corn. Very, Very naughty. I'm going to Mikes for the Lindt's (my fav). We seldom get trick or treaters, but I always have plenty of candy.

When we moved into our new house last year, I spread the rumor that a paroled axe murderer moved in there. We had no problem with the little trick or treaters coming to the door trying to get me to share the candy corn.
