Did anyone see Oprah yesterday? Designer Valentino was her guest. What a treat! I was planning to start cooking early, because dinner required a lot of prep, but I couldn't tear myself away from those gorgeous clothes. 'Course, you'd have to mortgage your house to buy one of those dresses! What a talented artist he is.

or write Oprah a letter indicating how much you would love to have one of those gowns and maybe she'll have a special show where everyone in her audience gets a gown...just like Oprah did with the car giveaway

She gave those cars away just as hurricanes were slamming into Grenada and Haiti. Smarten up, Ms. Winfrey. That's like a third or fourth car for some audience members. Geeeeeeeez.

Actually, when Valentino was on, Oprah did give away clothes to each audience member,

They are beautiful - more like artwork then actual clothing.

Oprah's hope for the audience in the car give away show is that many people would learn the "pay it forward" philosophy. When someone does something nice for you, you in turn do something nice for someone else. She had an update on the cars a few weeks ago, of people who did put this into practice - one lady gave her mom the new car, because she so desperately needed one. Another lady gave her old car, which was still pretty nice, to a co-worker, because she was in need.

I remember back when people did nice things for me, I in turn try to do things for people in need, and have happily watched when they in turn have helped others. If only more people would catch on.

And you have to pay taxes on those cars-- I guess there were some people who got a "free" car from the San Jose area-- they had to keep hush about what they got until that show aired---- if you kept the car you could end up paying over $7000.00 in taxes-- some planned to keep it and another was going to donate it-----

I only say part of the fashion show-- not into clothes and no way do I fit the tall slender body type
