Good Saturday Morning!
Good morning everyone from SE Wisconsin.....where at this time it is cloudy, cool and rainy. More and heavier rain is coming in later this AM.
Had a busy night at work last night....thank goodness I was orientating an experienced nurse (new to our facility, but experienced in this field) - I was able to handle the new admissions and one medical emergency without having to disrupt everyone else on my unit - as she did all the regular day to day work on my unit.
Hopefully this weekend at work will be as good.........won't have her there to help me out!!!
I hope everyone has a great weekend! Stay safe and warm!
Good morning LIsa and all the CM's to follow: I'm not sure what our day holds weather-wise.....it is still dark outside. The sun was supposed to come out yesterday afternoon but that did not happen. Maybe today!
I'm off to Curves this morning....then maybe clean the house. I hope you all have a beautiful day!

Good Morning from the Arizona desert. It's 5:50 a.m. here, and I'm up, on a Saturday morning no less! What's wrong with this picture? The problem is that Oscar the Shih Tzu doesn't know a Saturday from any other day and he insists on getting up at our regular time! Oh well, the house is quiet and I get to come say hi to you guys and read the newspaper before I have to start my Saturday chores.
It is a beautiful sunshiny day here, chilly though.
Not much on tap here today. Finish the laundry, grocery shopping, work on the scrapbook project. The highlight is tonights baseball game.
My son's boys x-country team won the league championship yesterday. We get to enjoy the trophy over the weekend - then each boy gets a chance to host it until it goes into the school display case. With each race he sheds a few seconds of his personal best, so it's encouraging, he's never satisfied with his preformance, though. I guess that is what keeps him motivated.
Hope you all have a great day, take a moment to truly enjoy something, make a memory.
Good morning from Long Island where the sun is shining brightly. It looks like a beautiful day, but the temps are right now hovering around 40 degrees. Much too cold for my tastes.
Lots to do today so I better get started. Have a good day everyone.
Good morning from cloudy and Minnesota, where thunderstorms are in the forecast. Today will be an outing to the Mall of America. We will take our granddaughter to "Camp Snoopy" to play on the rides and go to Leggo Land. Ah, what you do for your grandchildren. The Sprawl of America is not one of my favorite places. :-)
Lisa: It is nice to get an experienced "Newbie". It makes the break in process so much easier.
Jennifer: I know what you mean about Oscar. Those doggies sure keep you on THEIR schedule.
Mary Lou: Be careful at Curves. I hear some of them can be dangerous. :-)
VT: Congratulations on your son's Cross Country championship. Take care of the trophy this weekend.
Angela: Have a relaxing weekend. Even if I can't figure out UNF. :-)
Tweets: I know you have a lot to do but don't overdo it. Don't make me send Betty over there.
To all to come. Have a great weekend!!!
Take care,
Mike

Morning all from Montreal, where although it's cool, it's bright and sunny and the leaves that are left are brilliant! Poor James is outside raking the ones that are not-so-brilliant anymore. He must have at least a dozen full-size garbage bags out there already!
Not much in the plan for today besides my son wanting to re-arrange his room to make room for the computer he is saving for and the desk we haven't found yet, but hey, if he's motivated to do something other than video games, I'm all for it!
Prayers going out to all those in need, and to the rest of you, have a great weekend!
Good LATE Saturday Morning,
Well, finally, our server is back up! Trevor has almost had a nervous breakdown trying to get the cable guy out here to check things out-happens all the time. After checking lines and boxes outsideTrevor turned off the power at the outlet strip in the Living Room for a longer time than usual and when when he turned it back on, voila, the TV picture was clear and the computer signals were on. So-there must be a problem with the line, like a short, coming into the strip. It's good to be back in operation.
I think UNF is University of Northern Florida. Good guess, anyway, if not. The University of Florida, in Gainesville is in the center of the state, not near the ocean.
It is sunny and pleasant here in Avon Park,FL. We'll probably just do some odd jobs and play Scrabble. I called my parents awhile ago and my mom had a tough night. Her catheter came out-very painful-and they've been waiting for the home health nurse to arrive. It's not an emergency, they've been told. I'll be anxious to have the parents finally get down here to Englewood, to their winter home, so they're only a couple of hours away rather than almost 24.
Good Morning cruisemates! Slight warming trend for Calgary, so we may see 40s F <G>
Driving home from work yesterday, the skies were so cloudless I got a clear and magnficent few of the Canadian Rockies. That view blew away the stress of an entire work week.
Another lovely day in Orlando today, with the absence of our summertime heat really being appreciated. It's really nice to live in a place where you have so much sunshine throughout the year, but it sometimes has its downside as well.
Yesterday I underwent my seventh surgery (over the past 5 years) for removal of skin carcinomas. Too much time at the beach as a "yoot", I guess. And I suppose that living in the sunny south for the past 28 years didn't help either! These things often don't show up until the golden years, so I recommend an occasional consultation with a dermatologist for those of you who have crossed into the "senior citizen zone".
Congratulations to Jen's son and his cross country team, and to Angela for Boone HS's regional championship win. I'm sure that the band's playing really helped to energize the Braves on the football field. <S>
To Lisa and everyone else on today's board, I wish you all a great weekend either on land or on the briny. And for you Red Sox and Cardinal fans, keep your fingers crossed. Tonight's the night!
Good morning from a sunny/bit of cloud Vancouver. If it remains sunny, I have to get out to the carport to sand&clean the second dresser ready for painting.
Later today we are off to the Mall again today for an eyes/lips makeup demo for the oldest daughter. She loves that sort of thing.(She is only allowed to wear a bit of lip gloss to school. Eyeshadow only on very special occasions to school). Later this afternoon she has to go for Nutcracker Ballet angel shoe fitting.(Of course the only weekend we have free of practices, she gets called in for shoe fitting!! lol)
I must get this house cleaned up, so we can decorate for Hallowe'en.
Hope everyone's day goes well. Take care. Bye for now. Brenda
