Okay, miss nimble fingers is back.....
Having a day and a half at sea from the get, you know the pool will be crowded...We were up early, and parked our carcass's 2nd row from the pool...got our table set between the two lounges, got our towels and settled in to watch the lounge chair saving marathon begin..we were not disappointed..the lounge chairs are coverd in comfy navy padded covers, so the dreaded striped tushy and legs pattern, that is SO not chic, was not evident on this deck, though right above us, the open deck tushy's had the stripes...Joan Rivers would have died!!!
There is always one woman on every cruise who I swear, tries to defy laws of gravity, and wears the lowest bathing suit on the planet, pulls the straps down to tan, and hope that the girls will stay put.....I wanted to post a betting pool on the stage to see if she stayed decent...I don't know how, other then many years of practice she was able to do it....but she did....
In San Juan, we arrived in port at 4:30

and since I was not in running shape, we decided to take a city tour. We got herded on a mini bus, and when the group decided we had waited long enough, [ he was trying to get another two people] we all marched off the bus to board others leaving quicker...Hoping to see things before dark, we were off ! Unknown to me, there is an art deco area in San juan, that looks like a mini Miami.I love art deco architecture, so my head was on swivle. An interesting city, we saw what we could, before dusk really settled in..Although there was the flea market at the fountains, I had to tearfully pass it by and have the bus let us off at the dock...Back onboard again to eat in the Lido buffet, since we had missed our first seating...Again, the food was not anything that made me happy, so I made do...
Next port....St Thomas....the mecca of all thats Gucci, Yurman, and the holy grail of shopping mavens...Three ships in, one being the humongus Caribbean Princess with 3500 people in, did, not at all feel crowded..You could smell all the moola being spent. Women were on missions, you could see it in their eyes...the men, well, they were outside on the sidewalk, smoking or holding the wives pocketbooks, so they could have 2 hands free to peruse, chat, and bargain....I said hello to Sonia, the woman I have purchased from in the past, but my heart was not in it, so we went back to the ship.I even skipped Havensite...Imagine that!
Ok, be back soon
