Looks Like I missed a lot while I was away for the weekend. Welcome home Trip, so glad your cruise was great.
We went to the cabin in Orange Ma for the weekend. Had to close it up for the winter. We went to the Pumpkin Festival in Keene NH. I have never seen so many pumpkins in one place ever!!! Some really unique carving there. The atmosphere was light and fun. Had a great time. They were hoping to get 30,000 pumpkins this year to break last years record of over 28,000. I have not heard if they made it.
Back to work this morning, looks like a fairly nice day coming up here in NH's Lakes Region. Have a great day all!!

Good morning Cruznut2, Carole and all the CM's to follow. I cannot believe how fast the weekends go. My baby boy turns 24 tomorrow...and I'm having the family for dinner on Wednesday to celebrate. So the next couple of days will be busy. Matt has expensive taste and his request for dinner is crab imperial and fillet mignon (sp?) and of course homemade cheesecake for dessert. The only positive thing is he works for a restaurant so we can get the steak and crab at cost! This will be a very busy week at work since we are chaning over to a new accounting package next Monday and I am not ready! You all have a wonderful day.

Good morning from Long Island where it is still quite dark. Days are getting so much shorter. Supposed to be a fairly nice day here today, guess I just have to keep the faith and wait and see.
30,000 pumpkins is sure a lot of pumpkins. What do they do with all those pumpkins? Glad you had fun however.
Marylou say Happy Birthday to Matt for us. Set a place for us at the table on Wednesday. Have to agree with Matt, menu sounds great.
Good Morning All
Its back to the real world after a great weekend in Myrtle Beach. The weather was great. Ate lunch @ the new Margaritaville & bought lots of t-shirts. Had great time @ the new Bass Pro Shop as well. Now we're back & broke but happy.
Hope everyone a good day.
An early good morning from Southern California where it's 3:52 a.m. The beautiful weather we have experienced will turn to rain today. That's not a complaint, just a fact.
I talked to my brother's ex last night who visited Mother on Sunday. Mother's memory is "the same or worse," according to the ex, although at one point, she did have the insight to figure out that her memory was so bad that she needed to be where she is Mother stays in her room a lot because she's afraid of getting lost. They are treating a bladder infection with antibiotics. She says the food is good. The one bright spot is that the conservator found a home for the cat.
I guess we don't appreciate our minds enough or our health.
So appreciate the good things you have, CM's, and have a good Monday.
It was a very busy weekend here too, but it seems like I got so little accomplished. At least I got one window in. The weather is supposed to be nice the next few days, so maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to get them all in. Then there's the trim ,and painting....
My neice's high school band finished in second place in the NY State band competition in Syracuse yesterday. They were defending state champion in their category. A lot of hard work pays off again.
Then there are the Bills. Now I know why the Patriots got rid of Drew Bledsoe. He stinks! There, enough about football! I feel better now. <G>
Hope everybody had a good weekend.
Good Morning!!!! My Eagles are now 6-0 and showed a lot of character coming back in overtime against the Browns. In previous years they would have folded the tents when they lost the lead. We decided to forgo a cruise next year in favor of a week at Shades of Green, the military resort at Disney World. This is so my stepdaughter Mikie and her best friend, both cancer survivors, can vacation together. Her friend has never been there and would not be able to go otherwise. Happy Birthday to all those celebrating and everyone have a great day!!!!
P.S. Attention Sox fans: you are only halfway there, you won the first two in 86 also. Remember Bill Buckner and the Babe.

Morning all, from Montreal where the sun is trying to come out. It's not too freezing yet, and I hope it stays that way till after Halloween!
CruzNut2, tomorrow I am going on a fieldtrip to the Botanical Gardens, where every year they have a fantastic display of decorated pumpkins. Maybe not 30,000 of them, but the carvings, painting, and accessories are amazing!
My weekend consisted of a total cleaning and re-organizing of my son's bedroom in preparation for his long-awaited computer. It was a big, dirty job, but we got rid of alot of clutter and have lots of stuff to give away.
ML - what time is dinner on Wednesday, I think I can rearrange my schedule...
Cruznut2 - that is a lot of pumpkins - it must have been quite a sight.
Jim & Leslie - glad you had a nice Anniversary trip.
Judy - glad to know your mom is beginning to settle in a bit - also, wonderful news to know the kitty has a new home.
Ed - sorry about your football slump - keep plugging away at the windows, you'll be done before you know it.
Lexxity - please relay happy birthday greetings to your husband
Doug - how nice of you to vacation to accomodate the girls. I'm sure you'll all have a wonderful time.
Wow! there are a lot of birthdays and weddings today. That's nice. Those are good things. Happy birthday to all!
Mary Lou: How do a get an invitation to that dinner????
We are waiting for a call from the ortho department at the U of M. Kramer is doing much better. We pulled his IV shunt out last night. He is almost acting like his normal self but the abscess is still active and his pain level is down but not gone. The antibiotics seem to have helped, for now. He is also shedding like there is no tomorrow. I think he'll be bald in about four days. That's great!!! I can rename him "Mini-Me". :-)
Well, time to get out the vacuum.......again. Have a great Monday and a wonderful week.
Take care,
Mike

Re: Good Monday Morning!!
Good morning from sunny and chilly SE Wisconsin....41 degrees right now! The drive home from work last night was a wicked one - thick fog moved in unexpectedly and visibility was really terrible....at least at 11:30 - Midnight there is not as much traffic on the road as there is earlier in the day.
Getting close to SDM status and have a lot to do today even though I would rather still be sleeping! lol
I am a sleepy head this morning, and there is no pool chair and book waiting for me today.....Cruiznut, thanks, for the welcome home....I have relatives up in Jaffrey and Keene, I know how pretty that area is. Mary Lou, could there maybe be shrimp on that menu> If so, I am called Priceline now, for a flight! Have a good day kids.....

Me again, forgot that I wanted to say a special hello to yesterday's new poster Tammie, and welcome her to the board! Hope you'll keep posting Tammie, tell us all about your cruise plans!
By the way, "Tammy" the song by Debbie Reynolds was my favourite song when I was a kid!
donna
P.S.. Mike, glad to hear Kramer is doing better. I love the "Mini-Me" reference!
Good Morning cruisemates! So dark this morning I can't see what kind of day it is in Calgary<G>
Supposed to be a slight warming trend for a few days. We may even see 50F.
Start of a new work week :_( Means a quick shopping stop on my way in, followed by doing payroll once I get in. It's my every Monday routine.
Can tell my cruise is getting closer because I'm getting more anxious. Going to be setting up the spy devices for doc watch pretty quickly. 4 weeks today will be a sea day!!!
Good morning from a cloudy/sunny Vancouver. Work later today. Had a 8:30 am meeting at my youngest's school for the Harvest festival this Fri. eve. I am in charge of the fun,Hallowe'en Bingo.(No cash prizes, just candy!)
Did Priceline yesterday for our quick Seattle trip next month. I wasn't really thinking too well;and I bid US$58 and it got accepted! Grrr.. US$70 with taxes&fees at the Vance Hotel. A bit of a disappointment but it will be fine for 1 night.
Hope everyone's day goes well. Happy Birthday to everyone who will be celebrating! Take care. Bye for now. Brenda

VALOR Jan/05-our first family cruise was great!
Hey all - wow, how's a girl to catch up with two Monday morning posts!!
Donna, thanks for the welcome and the smile. When I tell people that my father named me after Debbie Reynolds, most people don't get it - but apparently you do. My mother got creative with the spelling and used 'ie' instead of the 'y', so I'm unique and I can confuse everyone. <G> I like the song 'Tammy' as well and I still have a copy or two of it in my music library. The "Tammy's in love" part hasn't applied for a while, but perhaps again someday. <sigh>
I am too excited about cruise plans. New Year's on the Mexican Riviera - New Year's eve in Acapulco!! I simply CANNOT WAIT!!
I have essentially decided that an annual cruise at New Year's is my plan, with at least one additional cruise in the year. I'm on a 'see the world from the ocean' mission. I just decided that last night - great idea if I do say so myself!!
I concluded not long ago that my life was in a rut, and my epiphany was that I should go cruising because I'd always wanted to and, after all, what on earth was I waiting for.
Anyway, too exciting. And, Donna, now I bet you regret inviting me to get started on all this <G>! But thanks for asking!!
I'm so glad I found this great online community here at cruisemates.
Tammie
