I can relate Trip. we had 6 huge pine trees in our back yard, close to the house, after the hurricanes came thru 2 broke in half 2 were at an angle and 1 was just too skinny, so we had them removed, so only 1 left to contend with. Hoping now more things will grow not beuing covered with the needles!
No pine needles here, just maple leaves everywhere. While walking the dog this morning, I was standing under a maple tree waiting for Emma to do her thing, and all of a sudden it was "raining" leaves on my head. I felt like I was caught in a storm!
Our backyard is pretty bare now, as James raked and used the blower all last weekend.
I have a great mixture of tons of pine needles and leaves of all varieties, with plenty more waiting to drop. Lot's of yard work awaits us.
The worst is in the spring when we have to get the pine needles out of the pool deck. Our neighbors trees grew so now the bouhs come very close to the fence and the wind blows them in. It is a pain to try and get them out from between the boards.
