Default Survived Teen Halloween Party!

My son's first party was last night. The teens came in costumes and ate 2,000 lbs of candy and pizza.

I've been whining lately about some of the poor behavior on the teen board and last night's party gave me my perspective back. The teens were absolutely wonderful and had a great time. Restored my confidence and reminded me there are PLENTY of good teens out there (on the teen board, too).

Of course it didn't hurt they played the music I liked from the 60's and 70's!!

How neat of you to host the part for them Dorothy. It's good to hear positive things about teenagers. That can be a really tough time in a person's life and a few bad apples make the rest of them look bad. Glad the kids had fun and things went so well.

Dorothy,

Congrats on surviving!!! My youngest son had his first party for Halloween.. I was a little nervous at first, but it was a blast and all had a wonderful time. (several years ago.) Where does that age group put all of the food they can eat? Glad it went well. Thanks for sharing.

Having teens I too know that they can consume unbelievable amoutns of food and soda, and candy. At the grocery store today got into a discussion with some women about trick or treating and the fact that my son, even though he was 16 was planning on going out. They thought he was too old. I said I'd rather see the teens out going door to door for candy then up to a lot of tricks that happen around our area at this time of year. I told them I would certainly rather buy extra candy to accomodate more trick or treaters than pay tax money for the ones that end up in trouble because they don't participate in tamer activities.

Ooops, I'm ranting.

So glad you had a wonderful party.

Dorothy,
I saw his pictures in the photo gallery, they were so cool! You are a wonderful Mom to encourage a fun time at Halloween! Some of my best memories are what I did for Halloween with friends (in those days, you could go for blocks & blocks & not have a parent with you) those were definintely the "old days". Glad fun was had by all! Cathy

Great pictures sis,

Like Cathy I remember going out for miles around to every house with their lights on.

We never had to worry like parents do now.

Great memories from the past.
