Default Crystal cruises-too formal or stuffy

My wife and I are considering a 12 day cruise in July on a Crystal ship to Alaska. We have been Celebrity people for the last few years but this 12 day cruise from San Francisco has a lot more sea days (we love)for only a few more$$.
My only concern is that the ship/guests and or food will be too formal or fancy. We don't mind dressing for dinner but we like to dress casual during the rest of the evening as we roam the ship.

Any input from previous passengers on Crystal would be helpful.

After 6 p.m. the dress code applies whatever it may be. I did a write up on the ship in this forum you might find something in there that will help you.

I would give it a try. Even if it is more formal it's worth it for the experience. Experience them all. Each one has something to offer for the mood you are in. I doubt it would be a bust of a cruise. You will be pampered and it will be relaxing. There is nothing wrong with that.

Take care,
