Default Lights

Since we are talking Christmas... do you use colored lights or white?

I love plain white with no flashing.
DH and DS love colored lights that flash.

We used to switch every year but the boychild is very vocal about his lights-so I lose out.

I use both, and everybody's happy. No flashing on and off though, that drives me crazy!

Colored! Both on the tree and outside - though the outside wreath is lit by a gold light.

White on the outside. If we do 2 trees its white on the formal tree & colored including bubble lights on the fun tree. This year we are only doing one tree so its the color.

I love the white lights, and I also love the colored lights. Usually the colored ones win out. One thing I'm sure of is---no blinking lights.

White lights on our tree. Wreath and some simple ornaments outside, no outside lights.. A single white candle in every window facing the front and side of the house.

DD and DH like colored lights.... I like both, but I like white better. This year is going to be all white on the tree along with homemade ornaments (brown paprer), and anything else that is not modern and comercialized. Anyone have suggestions on simple old fashioned ornaments?

BTW for those of you who don't like flashing light (but have family members that do). If you put enough sets of lights on the tree, most with flashers, it looks more like they are twinkeling, rather than flashing. We have used up to 9 or 10 sets of 100 each in past years.

We have enough lights of both kinds on the lawn, house, walls, sheds, bushes, trees, etc to cause the lights in St Augustine to dim when I hit the switch. <G> Nothing inside for the last couple years due to the cat from hades. Even if we were able to manage to put something up at all he would have it torn down within minutes!

Colored lights on the tree, with sentimental ornaments. White icicle lights on the house.

I do both. Outside has white lights and inside have one tree with all white ligts and then 1 with colored. Melissa, at least your crew voice an opinion. Mine just sit on the couch and say ok looks good.
