In 1970 I drove to Alaska via the Alaska Highway entering from the Yukon Territory. We took a side road north from the Alaska Highway in the Yukon to Dawson city, well north of Whitehorse. The highway frojm Dawson to Alaska is called the "Top Of The World Highway" by the locals. Sure felt like it.
There are a few roads that might be north of this, nothing you'd want to get stuck in.
By the way, I was in Barrow, but you need to get there by plane from Fairbanks.

"What is the FARTEST point"

Donald, I guess it depends on how much gas you have :)

The city of Circle, Alaska is the farthest non oil company persons can travel by road in Alaska. It is on the banks of the Yukon River about 125 air miles north of Fairbanks. There is a road and I would hazard a guess that the road takes about 180 miles to make the trip. We drove it in 1965 so we could say we were as far north as you could go by road in the USA.

All the way to the ocean if you have a 4X4.
