I just want to let you know that I haven't been able to get to the morning thread because I've either been going somewhere and had no time beforehand, or hubby's been on the computer, or........By the time I get there, it's evening, and even though I do post sometimes, I'm not sure how many of you see it.
So, I decided to let you know with a new title that I'm around, and I do read your posts, and am trying to catch up.
My thoughts are with all of you who have family situations that are causing much stress, especially during this holiday season.
Eddie, I started to watch the Buffalo game on Sunday but had to go out. I think they did win, didn't they?? I couldn't find you in the stands again. <G>
I have several folks I know who have either just left today on a cruise or are anticipating one in the next month. I wish I were going with them.
Work has been very hectic, church singing has been busy-just did our cantata last night-and generally, we're just pooped. I praise all of you who have gone out Christmas shopping.-we haven't had the energy, time, or inclination.
Trevor just had his first day of training at the bank. He thinks he could like it, but it was very hectic today, and there's a lot more to bank telling than meets the eye. He just showed me the two sports jackets that arrived today that he'd ordered on line.
So, that's all for tonight. You know, this cruise of ours last September must have been more dramatic or something, because I have been consistently dreaming about cruising since then. I can usually get on with it-but not this time.
Take care. Lynne
Good Morning Lynne, It is such a busy time for everyone. Thanks for dropping in and letting us know what's up. Take care and come more often.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
Thanks, Everybody! Speaking of missing people, Dalech hasn't been on in a long time. I know his wife is expecting twins? in Feb. It would be nice to hear from him, too.
Carol, I think this time around, I'll bet on horse #2-- Dustin Hoffman!! I miss all of you, too.
Bye for now. Lynne
I'm glad you checked in, I have caught your late postings. Don't over due. I'm sure Trevor will be catching on quite quickly and learn to love his new job. I too have been wondering about Dalech - we haven't heard from him for a couple of months. I hope everyone in his family is well. They have all been on my hear.
Trevor has been coming home overwhelmed with this prospective job. He still must pass a self-administered, timed, computer test with an 85% rating to fully be on staff. He has 48 hours to achieve it and has several "life line" numbers to call if he needs help. On the bright side, he's beginning to like wearing a coat and tie-he gets some respect with it, and beats the grocery bag boy uniform! You should see the "homework" he brought home tonight! However, he gets paid for all this training and was paid mileage for going out of town for his orientation. He gets paid overtime for anything over 5 hours and he's been 2 hours over the last 2 days. I think the Mgt. has already factored that!!
Our temp is reading a pleasant 66 degrees on the computer at 8:15PM. It's supposed to reach 74 tomorrow before we start sliding down again.Christmas Eve day and night don't look too promising-rain and cool temps-but- it beats snow!!
Take care for now. Good luck on all that is in store for you and your family this season. I'll look forward to seeing you on the morning thread. Lynne
