What a mess that the airlines are making this weekend. I sure am glad I am not flying anywhere for now. I can only imagine how tired, disappointed and upset everyone involved is. I bet a good many people missed their ships this weekend. This is one of the few times I am glad I did not have a cruise scheduled. I hope it all gets sorted out soon and everything gets back on track.

Isn't the weather thats the real problem ??? I don' t think the airlines can control that. The last time I few -- and that was two weeks ago -- we has a strange fog---highly unusual for my area-- San Jose CA and our airport was closed-- ususally it SFO that has this type of problem----but that did cause a domino effect since planes couldnt fly in to or out of the airport for almost an hour and a half---
Guess it goes to show once again to travel a day or two early---especially for a cruise
It sure has been a mess and I'm with your CN2- I'm glad I wasn't flying this weekend. The weather had a lot to do with it, but it seems like there were other problems as well.
My hubby was fortunate to have a direct flight home to Milwaukee from Dallas on Friday. He was an hour late, but no other problems. I've never had to deal with the things people were dealing with this past week at the airports. I hope I never do, but the only way to prevent that is to choose not to fly and I'm not ready to do that.
The computer glitches,and the USA air employee problems, only added to the mess..But I do have to say, many people I saw interviewed on tv..were NEVER going to get to their destinations, with cancellations upon cancellations, and they would have had to turnaround and go back home. I would have gone home, and made the best of it in peace and quiet, and a lower stress level...jmho
