Default waiting two years

Hi one and all,

We came back from our cruise 12-23-04. We had a wonderful time. The eight days
we were gone flew by and when we got home , we all agreed that another cruise is
a must.

As I am sure families like ourselves can plan on a cruise every couple of years. My
question is how to get thru the next two years without going crazy??????

Bt the way God willing we will be off to Alaska next cruise.

Any help would be appreciated.

Melody

We started our "next cruise" fund as soon as we were home! Small amounts like pocket change get emptied into the cruise jar at the end of each week. Larger "windfall" items - rebate checks, my freelance house manager paychecks - ANYTHING outside dh's regular paychecks, get funneled into the cruise account. It mounts quickly. Whenever I have a spare $20 - cruise account!

Once we find the $750 to book for the 3 of us, I'm VERY motiviated to come up with the balance in time!!

Good luck and welcome to world of the cruise addicted.

dorothy

Thank you Dorothy for the response. Is that what I have become is a "Cruise Addict"
I guess there are worst things in the world to be hooked on.

After March of 05 I will take your suggestions about saving any extra money we have
but Jan and Feb must be the months that we purchase a few things that are much
needed for the house.

Melody: Another way to get through the next two years is to stay right here at CruiseMates. We all live each other's cruises here! It is almost as good as going your own. And remember, the planning and anticipation is half the fun. I'm so glad we can add you to the ranks of the "addicted".

Melody, you poor dear. <simpathy hugs> I know how you feel.

My last cruise was in April of 2003. Our 2 year mark is almost here and I, just last night, booked our next cruise for April 2005. You will make it! In the mean time, stick with cruisemates! We're here for you!

Yes, Melody. Stay right here to ease the withdrawal symptoms and gather anticipation to book the next one. What you have is PCD and it is a common ailment amongst those addicted to cruising.

Everyone has their personal style of cruising. For us, the shorter ones which leave from ports we can drive to allows us to cruise more often. Others prefer to take longer cruises on luxury lines but cruise less often. Whatever floats your boat, start investigating the next cruise which fits.

Regards,
Thomas

I KNOW THE FEELING

My last cruise was 3/04. I have been doing 1/year since 1999. The next was to be a family trip, 6 people in 3 cabins that I have been researching since summer. I am limited to school vacation times as 3/6 are teachers. Spring 05 was already too $$. younger Daughter is getting married 9/4/05 and all teach summer school until the end of July so summer is out. Have been really looking at x-mas 05. Found 2 itineraries I really liked. Had just about deposited when I found out oldest DD is having a baby due July 29, 05. Too young to take in Dec. 05. Now I am up to looking at Alaska for summer 06. That is also a >2 year wait between cruises.
