Fellow CruiseMates, I would like to ask your help with an idea I have, to make my mom's 75th birthday a very special one.
I would like to ask you if you each would send her a Happy Birthday postcard from the cities or towns where you live. She loved reading all the responses you posted in the form of prayers and good wishes, and was really touched by all your caring.
She will turn 75 on January 28, so you have 2 weeks notice. If you're going on a cruise, maybe you can send one from the ship!
If you're interested in helping out, please e-mail me personally (click on my name above) for her address.
What a GREAT idea, and YES I would love to send your Mom a postcard for her birthday from here in Newcastle.I have sent you a reply by email and will be waiting to hear back from you with your address.
Take care Donna, your Mom is in my thoughts and prayers
RD: What a great idea. I know this will bring your mom such joy.

By the way, there was only one person I did not respond to because I didn't recognize their name and there was no subject in the subject box, and I can't risk any viruses, so I didn't open it. The name was Mary, so if there really is a Mary, waiting to hear from me, please try again, and reference CruiseMates in the subject box. Thanks.
Donna, we just welcomed a Mary to the site the other day--we all said "Hi Mary" or "Welcome, Mary". So she might be the one. I hope she answers.
Also, Palm Trees, thanks for the update on the Canadian postage. None of our local postal employees with whom I come into contact with at work could tell me. They are just the carriers, and really don't pay attention to the the rates. My dad lives in Toronto and I just slap two regular US stamps on the envelope.Did the same with Rollerdonna's mom's postcard-just to make sure it was covered. Phew, it was close for the postcard!
