We haven't heard anything since your rather distressing news on Saturday, Donna. Has your mom's condition improved any since then? Were you able to carry out your plan for an early party? We hope and pray that she's hanging in there, and that your next news will be more encouraging than the last. Our thoughts and prayers are with Gladys and her whole family. God bless you all.
Thanks for asking Kim and Jack. As you can see, the cards have been pouring in, and I'm hanging them all on the wall above my mom's bed in the living room. She has opened and read every one, but she doesn't seem to understand who all these wonderful people are and why they're sending her cards. I however, have been thrilled with your response to my request, and I thank each and every one of you.
Since last Monday's incident (stroke or seizure) Mom has not been the same. The brain tumour is obviously taking it's toll, and she has lost some motor functioning and all emotion or facial expression, although she is still very aware of what's going on.
Tomorrow, she is going by ambulance to see her oncologist at the hospital and we're hoping he will expedite matters to have her transferred to the Palliative Care centre as soon as possible. Having her at home is wonderful, but the amount of care-giving is becoming overwhelming to family members.
Once again CruiseMates, thanks for your cards, prayers and good wishes; I appreciate them more than you'll ever know.

P.S. I will be posting more pics in the personal gallery as soon as I can get them scanned.
I'm glad that your mom is still hanging in there. Be sure to take care of yourself, too. The Caregivers usually are the ones who end up being really "sick and tired".Literally.
Just keep your smile going knowing that you have us to support you from all over the world, perhaps! Lynne
Thank you so much for taking the time to show us the picture Donna. I only hope this is giving your Mom and you & your family some comfort at this difficult time.
