Yippee it is Tuesday. I am almost there. It is 14 this morning here in Ohio with high to be 33 !!! WOW. That is different. Went to the Dr. yesterday. I have asthmatic broncitis. I know that is not spelled right but you get the drift. Anyway she gave me a breathing treatment, boy that made a difference. Then she gave me some medicine that she says will get me better by Sat. It better, I have a cruise to go on. Everyone have a great day.
Good Morning CruiseMates!!! Somewhat warmer here in NH's Lakes Region. It 16F. The bad news is it could snow again tonight. Yesterday I must have pulled a muscle while doing some housework. I could barely walk. It feels a little better today. Have a good day everyone.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
It's still snowing here in upstate NY, but at least the temps are a lot more reasonable (27F). Sorry to hear that you're not feeling too well Carol, but at least your treatment is giving you some relief.
Since I only have three more sleeps before we fly off to Ft Lauderdale, I may have to get some of my clothes together and see what I have (or don't have). <G>
I hope everyone who is not feeling well will get better soon. And for all who are traveling (me included), may all your flights be on time.
Good Morning Mates...the warming trend is on..thank God. Did not get below freezing last night for a change. Got to go back to the Doc today and ck on my back. It is sure acting up this morning.
Carol...YOU better get Better before Sat..>G< hope the meds work for you.
Cruz2..Hate you pulled that muscle..hope you get to feeling better also.
Eddie..I hope you and ALL the ones leaving this week have safe trips and good flights and most of all.....SMmmoooOOooooothh Sailing.
All that follow...have a great day and please stay safe...
Jason..Come out where ever you are..You are being missed.
Good morning from a bit warmer Massachusetts. But snow is forecast for tomorrow. Boy do I wish I was someplace else, a cruise maybe!!!!!!!! From the looks of all the snow in my yard and the temperatures they're talking about, I don't think this snow will be gone for months. No school again here so my family daycare will have extra kids for the second day in a row.
Carol--glad you're on your way to being better. Have a great cruise and be safe.
Cruznut2--I always knew housework was a bad thing. Rest up and get better.
Ed--have fun packing. Have a fun and safe cruise.
BigJohn-good luck at the doctors'
Everyone else who will follow, have a great and safe day.
It's 8AM-boy that hour goes fast!! Temp reads 42- a positive improvement over yesterday's 33. And, the sun is shining here in Avon Park. I'm hoping I can put the parka away by the end of the week. It kind of looks out of place down here, but it sure keeps me toasty.
Carol, glad to hear you're feeling better. Having bronchitis is no way to start a cruise. Was it caused by a cold or from breathing in the new carpeting? Just asking because we have several at work who are exhibiting allergy-like colds brought on all of a sudden. The new carpeting (from since the hurricanes) was just laid in the last couple of weeks. Anyway, I know you'll have a good trip.
We haven't booked a cruise yet, but I might have mentioned that on Saturday we purchased a new 6 piece luggage set. That's one step closer, right? And, it's in bright red so we can find it in the terminal after the cruise!!
Have a terrific day ! Work is beckoning. Lynne
A slight warm up here as well - it is 10 right now. We had a light snow all night, so picked up a couple of more inches.
We survived the ski team pizza party. I can't believe how much food they consume, or inhaled. The boys also finished up the night with a poker game - I think they played Texas Hold 'Em - but not sure. The girls came in with me and the dog in the living room, and the boys and coaches played poker. All I know is that my son was the winner in the end, tho' they didn't p lay for money this week. They usually play $5. Just as well, don't want him to get the taste of winning to early in his "career".
Tonight the team will be hosting several other schools for Night Relay's under the lights at the school. So, you know where I'll be - freezing my patooty off watching them race, and do a lot of showing off as well. The teams all get crazy at this race and do things like wear wigs, or bathing suits over there racing suits, you just never know what they will come up with.
I'm fighting some sort of cold. I really can't get sick before next Tuesday's surgery. I hope this doesn't push me over the edge.
CaroB - I hope those meds kick in quickly
Cruznut - don't over do today, give that muscle a chance ot heal
Ed - happy packing
BigJohn - I hope the doc has some good news for you today.
Hope everyone has a little sunshine in their corner of the world today,
both in the pyhsical sense and the mental/spiritual sense as well.
Seems all of us without a cruise on the horizon could use a little lift.
I'm not one to brag but yesterday was in the low sixties here in Portland. The sky was blue and it feels like spring. This is the warmest and dryest January in my memory. I'll take it over the usual cold dark rain. Cheers!
Here in Montreal, in Celcius, we're still at -17, but in Farenheit, we've finally hit above zero, all of 1 degree! Feels like Spring!
Today, we are supposed to get my mom to a hospital appointment with her oncologist. I don't see the point really, but they have ordered an ambulance to help transport her.
I'm hoping the Dr. will help expedite her move into our local Palliative Care Centre.
It's sad, but we must face the fact we can't care for her at home anymore.
As for the rest of you CruiseMates, stay warm, wherever you are, and do some cruise dreaming - I know I will!
Sorry, Kids, there will be no more weather bragging allowed here More snow tomorrow they say in Boston..The schools are still closed, and I am going to attempt to do some errands..I think I've had enough winter already..Calgon, take me away !
Have a good day everyone.
Trip, with her book & tea!

Donna, I hope all goes well for your mom today. It's sad that she has to go through so much to move on to the next level of care. I hope they move quickly to get her where she needs to be. You have done so much, and given her all the love and caring that you can, and I know you'll continue to do that no matter where she is.
Carol, I'm glad you got to the doctor. Hopefully his perscription and the thoughts of some warm tropical air will help you get better fast.
Cruznut-I'm with Cheryl--housework is a bad thing. Hope your feeling better.
BJ- sorry to hear about your back. I wonder if the weather changes add to the discomfort. Take it easy and rest up.
Jen- I'm glad the day turned out so well for you yesterday. Take care of yourself as you get close to your hospital date.
Good Morning! Going to be in the 30s today--Do I hear strains of the song Heatwave coming over the radio? NYC is still digging out, but I have had no trouble getting to work on time.
DW suprised me on Saturday by making a 42" Sony rear projection LCD TV. Whoooo Hoooo! The cable company will hook up High Definition next Saturday. I will get to experience the Eagles victory in the Superbowl in HD!!!!!
Donna- Tough decision to make, one I am not looking forward to as my Mom is almost 90, although she is doing well. My prayers are with you.

Today is downright balmy here in the frigid north. It's going up to 25 degrees with the downside being 3-6" of snow. Pooh. I have rehearsals every night this week for a play i'm in....so my life is pretty much hectic right now.
Michelle and Kuki - have a blast!! I'm certainly jealous as I have 2 months and 6 days! Live it up for the rest of us! Certainly have a few frozen drinks in honor of me!!
Morning from the Pacific Northwest......foggy here this morning!!! Just got home from taking my Saturn in for it's recall......they gave me a Toyota hybrid for a loaner......these are strange cars!!!!!! Takes some getting use too!!! lol
Hope everyone has a great Tuesday....
Prayers going out to those in need.........

Re: IT'S TUESDAY
Good afternoon everyone from sunny and balmy SE Wisconsin - it has actually broken the 32 degree mark for the first time in 11 days. The roads are dry and clear - gotta say that we do snow well here in SE Wisconsin.
Have a great day everyone!
