Posted are pictures of our cruise on the Sky Princess From Auckland, NZ to Sydney, AU in 1998/ I know many of your cruisers have been to this part of the world, however, many have not. Thought you would enjoy the pictures.
I now have Parts 2 and 3 posted of this cruise. I did not place captions under each picture. Lazy. If anyone have any questions just ask good or bad.

Ray, I enjoyed your photos of the Sky Princess immensely, as we sailed the same ship and itinerary in late March early April 1998. We had the misfortune to run into a major cyclone in the Tasman Sea, and were stranded for 4 1/2 days at sea. We missed the Fjordlands and Hobart, Tasmania, after we had already mised Christchurch earlier on. On April 1, 1998 we sailed , or crawled , in 65 ft. seas. What an April Fools joke that was!
We bought photos from the photographer onboard, showing the gigantic waives breaking. These photos were taken from the upper most forward lounge. We had the photos enlarged and they are hanging in our den. It looks like something from the "Perfect Storm" movie.
The ship sailed well, considering the force of the wind etc. Some windows on the long corridor by the pizzaria were broken, and it split a forward rail in half. We were unable to go out on deck for days, in fact they had the doors chainlocked.
We sailed the same itinerary in reverse on the Legend of the Seas in January of 2001.. This time we had perfect weather and seas, and finally enjoyed all the missed ports from our first adventure.
The cruise on the Sky Princess established one thing for certain, we don't get sea sick, no matter what. We no longer carry any patches or medication, as we found out that we are "good sailors".
Again, thanks for posting these wonderful photos.
