Default surgery it is....

well, met with the Surgeon today & he is going to yank that cranky gallbladder right out & take a "peek" @ other things while in there ! They say IF they find no other problems and IF there are no complications, I will come home the SAME day !!! (BOOOOOO) I was hoping for 1 night in the hospital bed.... Y'all might htink Im crazy .... but those adjustable beds are AWESOME !! Im trying to talk hubby into getting a pair for our room... 2 twins to a King... hey... just like on a cruise...lol !!

Of course, my son is already biting his nails & is scared to death of me going in hospital, and thinks I should TRY SOMETHING ELSE ??? uh - been there, done that... I say take out everything I dont HAVE to have ! Anyway... as of now, scheduled for the 22nd of this month... will keep y'all posted !

On a good note, I saw my best friend this weekend & she wants me to get a cruise lined up for her family & ours... now if I can just convince hubby... he would rather do a all-inclusive.... we'll see !!

Take care
love,
Steph

P.S. RollerDonna, hope u r getting rest & peace of mind during this sad mind.... (hugs for you & your family )

Steph, this is a good time to convince DH to go on that cruise. He'll be so concerned for your health that he'll agree to almost anything. Ah...don't call it manipulation, <G> just call it a suggestion.
Arthroscopic surgery is a great thing though. Getting home the same day is great. It's the next day when you really start to feel the pain. Oh well, I hope everything works out OK.

I will be praying that everything will go smoothly. I'm sure that once the recovery has taken place you will feel much better. And as a reward for being such a good patient I do think a cruise would be in order. Hope your husband has a change of heart.

Prayers go out for you. I had my gall bladder out about a year ago. Best thing I have done in awhile. Now I don't have that constant pain.

I like the idea of a cruise for recovery, I could sure use one to recover from the nightmare of these past few months!

I'll be keeping you in my prayers Steph. I had that surgery years ago, and it really was an easy recovery and a great relief from the pain. I also like the idea of a cruise as a get well gift. :-)

Good luck Steph. I know a few people who have had their gallbladders removed, it is really no big deal anymore. Hope it goes well for you.

Cheers,
Michelle P.

Steph,

Good luck with the surgery. Be glad that they are now doing it with the scope. Not much of a scar and recovery is much much quicker. I have to agree with you about going ahead and getting this out of the way. You will feel so much better. Do keep in mind that Tums or Rolaids will more than likely be a part of your life from here on out, but that is a small price to pay if you want to eat spicy foods.

Good luck with your surgery, Steph. I know what you mean about the adjustable beds! The best night's sleep I've ever had besides on a cruise! (Love that rocking!!) Be sure to tell DH that a "recovery cruise" is the best medicine!
