My oldest, best friend was diagnosed today with neck cancer. He's had a sore throat for some months but the docs kept prescribing antibiotics, saying it was a virus, saliva gland blockage, etc. He finally went to the right docs who did an MRI and then a biopsy last Friday and today's results came back positive.
This is a 58 year old man, healthy, never smoked, in good shape. Even though I'm female, I was the "best man" at his wedding - we're that close. We sang together in a trio some years back and still sing whenever we can. My life and my music would be empty without him.
I know the power of your prayers, so please add Tom to your list. I thank each one of you.
Many prayers, good thoughts and wishes to you and your best friend. I have also been on the receiving end of such sincere caring from my good unknown friends here on the board, it certainly warms the heart and spirit.
Please accept this electronic *HUG* to you and Tom, and keep us posted...

I'm adding Tom to my prayer list too, Belique. He is blessed already to have a friend like you to be there for him. I know that God hears our prayers and wants us to bring all of our cares and concerns to Him.
