WE WILL BE SAILING ON OUR FIRST CRUISE AND HAVE PRE-PAID THE GRATUITIES BUT WAS WONDERING IS THE ANYTIME I NEED TO TIP? I UNDERSTAND IF WE USE THE SPA OR MASSAGE SERVICES WE WILL NEED TO TIP THE PERSON THERE BUT HOW ABOUT ANY OTHER SERVICES THE CRUISE LINE PROVIDES THAT ARE NOT INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS?

If u use the room service u should tip a few dollars. Other then that... The luggage porters. They should get at least a dollar a bag. i tip $2 a bag. They work hard for there tips. As far as the cruise itself... i think thats all. If u go on a excursion.. Many of them want a tip too.. Happy cruising...

Besides the regular tips you might want to give somethign extra to someone who gave you excellent service. WE tipped our table waiters extra during and at the end for such a great service. It also helps to give the cabin steward a little extra in the beginning. This way he know you apprechiate <sp?>his services and you might get an extra pillow if you ask <VBG>

casino dealers and if you have kids in the kids program, tip the counsellors, most work hard to give the kids a memorable experience

casino dealers do not expect tips if you are losing --if you are winning a tip would be appreciated and you can ask the dealer if he/she wants it as a tip or as a bet on their behalf

Also with the casino dealers if you have questions about your next port ask them. They are off while in port so they get around.
