Default B2B, What's It Like???

I posted this over at Princess with no response so I figure maybe Kuki or Ray can help me out!

I'm doing my first back-to-back this fall on the Sea Princess and I'm curious what happens on the day you stay onboard and everyone else leaves?

The first portion is 7 days Southampton down to Spain/Portugal/France, 2nd is 14 days, Transatlantic Southampton to New York.

A new experience, 21 days onboard plus a B2B! Longest I've cruised is 15 days but don't think 21 is a problem. I want to do longer cruises in the future so this is a test!

Cruise starts Sept. 3rd, just about 6 mos. away and I'm getting excited!

What we do when we end our 1st segment of the cruise depends on where we are at that time. If we are in port which offers sight seeing, we go ahore and enjoy the area. If not we stay onboard and catch up on the necessary things that have to be done. Then we go to a location, maybe, and watch new passengers board. So many times we will recognize someone who we have sailed with before. Then we have a reunion.

We have been on cruises which had 4 or more B2Bs. It is fun anyway whatever happens. If we go ashore we have to navigate through the incoming passengers. Sometimes we have to detour around them. But mostly there is no problem. The ship will give you a new boarding card before you arrive at the embarkation or disembarkation port and we can scoot right onboard.

Hope this explains somewhat.

I've done several back to backs... but none of this length, with such excellent itins.

In the Caribbean I've now taken to changing ships for back to backs. Avoids the repeat of entertainment and menus.

Hey, CA, to avoid me waving at you while you are kicking and screaming, how about staying onboard for the Transatlantic or does that cut into your school schedule???

Susie, it cuts into my school schedule to do the other (done it on the Crown and it is a must!)

We have to get together on board!

Remember me, I'm the shy retiring one!
