well this is not really a cure but............... I made a "smoothe" yesterday that tasted sooooo good. here it goes--and for those drinkers you could probably add your "poison" what ever it'd be.
1 can (16-20 oz) pinneapple chuncks with juice
2 or so tablespoons limeaid or barcardi mix--to taste
frozen strawberries to taste
coconut (optional--i didn't use it because family doesn't like it)
ice--about 1-1/2 - 2 pts cubed--(took ice from icemaker--filled a pt jar a couple of times)
Salt, Sugar and limeaide dunk
In blender 1 bananna, drain juice from pinnaple and add to blender. Add about 1/2 the pinneapple or more to taste, your strawberries, limeaid, etc. then blend till smooth.
Here's the fun part. limeaid dunk--in a small bowl combine limeaide and water--50% each, dip your glass rim in that then in a small plate combine sugar and salt to taste--dip your glass rim in that, pour drink into glass and imagine you're on a cruise
I think your smoothie sounds yumee. It would make me feel a whole lot more like being on a cruise if there was somewhere where large quantities of rum were blended in.
Dream away , enjoy your smoothie and happy cruising.
We had a delicious smoothie while driving around Maui. We were near Lindburgh's grave when we stopped at a roadside place. The young girl made up some and used a bicycle to generate electicity to run the blender. REMEMEBER MIKE. uMuM Boy was it good.
Cruising on Ruby Princess: September 22, 2015. 10 Days, From New York to Quebec City. My 98th Cruise!
papabill--and anyone else--you can throw in your rum or whatever--i don't drink so this is what i do--we can call it a pina colata strawberry margurita but it will be virgin just the same--but enjoy it however you like!
I think you need to put on your favorite bathing suit or sun dress while enjoying the drink and that will really get you in the cruise mood. Our next cruise is Alaska, so I'll put on ny fleece gloves and hat and enjoy the smoothie. Thanks for the great recipe!!
