we are planning a cruise for april 30th, 2005 on RCCL Navigator (was on this ship last year for spring break, as well). However, I am trying to keep the cost of the trip down and found the best flights were from Detroit to West Palm Beach for $185 round trip. My question is, has anyone ever flown into West Palm and gone from there to port of Miami? If so, what type of transportation did you take (taxi, limo, metro car, etc), about how long did it take, and how much did it cost? thanks!
That is a Looooong haul to Miami. It is only 66 miles, but the traffic is terrible.I would fly directly to Miami. Unless you want to rent a car one way. That is expensive.
You would have go south to take #95 or the Florida turnpike. Can you cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale?
That is only 27 miles.
Renting a car is NOT expensive. Most of the car rental companies in FL have NO milage charge or drop off charge. Just be careful to rent form one that offers shuttle airport to the pier. Many 800 reservationists WILL tell you they do. However, I found out, nearly the hard way, National and Budget do NOT from any Miami return location. After getting yr price and making a reservation call the renting agency direct.
