I have been thinking about whether or not it would be a good thing for cruise ships to add Segway shore excursions to their offerings in various ports. Of course, it wouldn't work on uneven surfaces like cobblestones. But their are many walking tours in cities and ports of call that involved paved areas. What do you think of the idea? I think it would be great for seniors who are ambulatory but not up to covering long distances.
It refers to starting to run tours that include rental Segways for older passengers to use. See photo. They are available for rental and I am sure cruise ships and/or their agents could rent them.
I am sure you have seen them around. Brookstone's sells them. Some people use them in shopping malls.
