Has anyone been on MV Sea Lion ( or Sea Bird ) on the Columbia River? Our alumni travel service is offering a Lewis & Clark cruise with Lindblad (?) Tours this fall. Looks very interesting, but quite a small ship. For once there are more single occupancy cabins than double. Only 10 or 12 doubles versus 23 or 24 singles.
We live right by the Columbia River. Let us know how the cruise is, we might do it some day just for a lark! Going through the locks is quite interesting at Cascade Locks. Have Fun! The Columbia River Gorge is beautiful.
If you have land time, the Eagle Creek Trail is a magnificent hiking trail with 7 or 8 major waterfalls that are spectacular. Just a hint! It's only a mile or two from Cascade Locks.
You may want to spend some time in Portland. It's a wonderful city.
