Just got a call from DD who is a freshman at the University of Tampa. She was just accepted to their School of Nursing for the next three years (or more) of her college education. This is something she has wanted to do since she was about 8 years old, she's now 18. She would like to specialize in either labor/delivery, infant special care or pediatric nurse. We are very proud of her. I just had to the share this great news.
Congratulations Cheryl. You've every reason to be proud. A big congratulations to her too on the work she has done to achieve this and the work that is ahead of her as she moves toward her goal of being a nurse.
What wonderful news!! You must be very proud of her.

Mqny congats! I know the nursing field needs good nurses right now. They are such an essential part of a hospital stay and I feel good knowing how excited she is about learning this new field of study.
Congrats! That is wonderful news. Nursing is such an important profession.

I just heard in a recent poll that nurses are the most respected position. More power, too, her, and if she can hang in there she should have a career that will both give her satisfaction and provide her with good support for many years. Good for her, and good wishes to you! Lynne
Congrats to her AND you! I understand why nursing is the most respected profession - they have my vote for some of the hardest working, most dedicated people around.

Thanks everyone for all your positive feedback. We are very proud of her. She has worked very hard to get to where she is. (she is even going to take credit classes over the summer break) She is a wonderful daughter and is very patient and understanding to others needs. Guess she picked the right profession.
Lisa K--congrats to you and to your son. Where has he decided to go? Our son is also at the University of Tampa, (New England kids in Florida) majoring in Sports Management with a minor in criminology. (never thought the two went together until all this steroid stuff) All the best to your son in whatever he decides.
