I cruised on Carnival Pride last year, and stumbled on the top deck. No one had ever mentioned to me that there was a topless deck, do all ships have these? I also found that this was the only place you could find a deck chair.
Even Celebrity mentions the topless deck briefly (no pun intended) in the daily ship paper. That was a surprise to us knowing Celebrity.

most of the cruise lines have topless decks, especially carnival, not to crowded a lot of guys hanging around with a beer in one hand and a dollar bill in the other, joking. i am trying a new cruise line, new to me leave in 10 days, going on costa mediterenna, i was curious and asked someone who just returned asked if there was a topless deck, he said "yes, but the women were not wearing anything", still trying to figure that one out. the wife asked me why i wanted to know, she tells me it is off limits to me, that's when she is not around, guess she will be around all the time, we are not thaking the kid's on this cruise.
I didn't think ANY of the cruiselines had them but Carnival. My dh swears he likes the topless deck because it's quieter, no loud bands, no games around the pool and no kids, but he's not fooling me!

My friend just got back from the Pride she is from England, she said she would not go topless cause too many guys oggling. She is a pretty blonde. She said in Europe it's no big deal but here in the States it is. I have no problem with nudity but why does everyone have to make it a sexual thing? I wish the US would get more like Europe where it's just no big deal. I however will not be topless on the ship cause I don't want any perverts getting their jollies, I did go topless in South Beach but all the guys were gay so it was no big deal.
I was not aware that Celebrity instituted a topless area Y2C. Prior to that CCL was the only main line in the US that had a topless deck. Many if not most European ships do. It is common and no big deal in most other countries but in the USA we have the 'children' that go crazy when they see a breast. Actually Dot, my wife, (who will not go topless BTW), have found that that deck is really great to relax and read in the sun as it is quite and uncrowded. I will not go there alone because of the people that do so only to gawk as I don't want the ladies to think that of me. It's a shame that this is the way it is as there are times I would like to continue reading on deck after my wife leaves or goes to some activity. Someday American's will grow up with the rest of the world. <G>
