I just got home from school and I had a really exciting message on my answering machine. A few months ago I was at the mall with my boyfriend and I entered one of those dumb contests to win a car. Apparently the runner-up prize was a cruise to the Bahamas courtesy of Diamond Holidays. I was really excited, and they gave me a phone number to call and a confirmation number, so it all seemed really realistic. But then I called my mom at work and told her about it and she said it was probably a scam, rar.
So, has anyone heard of Diamond Holidays/do you know if they're just trying to scam people into a "free" cruise? Please let me know if you have any information. Thanks!
I would ignore it. My DH and I filled out separate tickets for a drawing at a fishing expo recently. Imagine, we both one the main prize. I had put my cell phone number on the form, my DH our home phone number. When I called the number for curiousity sakes, it was a load of crap. Three weeks later they are still calling my DH but we let the answering machine get. it. I agree with your mom, it's either a scam or a timeshare.
