We leave in a little less than 2 weeks (May 8) to the western caribbean for our 1 year anniversary/honeymoon that we didn't get cruise.

I am cruising on the Carnival DESTINY, June 5th with family. Dec 11th I will be on the Carnival CONQUEST with my daughter, it's my gift to her for graduating from college.

Jan. 07, 2006 on the Carnival Liberty to the Eastern with BIL/SIL. I'm looking for something shorter of 4-5 days before then.

I try not to think about it so much, because the countdown is still quite large. But the next one will be a big one, 14 nights LA to HI and back. It will be the first time I've ever seen the Pacific. And it will be the first time I've flown to a cruise port--I usually drive.

But it will be big for another reason since I will also fulfill another ambition. I'll be taking with me the most unusual item I've ever taken on a ship--a telegraph key. I've already been in touch with the folks at Big Mo in Pearl Harbor, and I will be allowed to exercise my hamly art in the radio room of BB-63. The details won't be finalized until much closer to my sailing date.

I may dwell on the land, but I live at sea!

Hi Nancy

You said you were going on the NCL Dawn out of NY. Were you on the ship in the storm with the 7 storey waves. If so, did it deter you from future cruising. I've only cruised in Carribbean, Alaska innter passage and wondered if it was because the ship was in the Atlantic that the storm was so fierce. I hesitate booking a Trans At;antric or Pasific cruise for this reason
