Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!
Yes, it is Wednesday already..........and I still have not gone to bed. Was 73 4 hours ago and it is now 46 with rain moving in....sigh. At least I was off on Tuesday to enjoy the best day of spring so far!
Both of my trips are coming up soon - just waiting for the docs from my TA for the Vegas trip and then final payment for my fall cruise is due. Maybe, just maybe, I can win enough in Vegas to pay for that? I know, wishful thinking!!!
Have a great day everyone!
Carnival Breeze with Ray Band Aerogirl 5/4/14!
I awakened with a tummyache a short while ago, and thought I'd post early waiting for it to pass. I almost picked up my first traffic ticket in 30 years yesterday, while taking our daughter to the airport for her return to Boise. Fortunately, I encountered a sharp but pleasant police officer who let me off the hook with a verbal heads-up. Whew!
Later today I'll be heading that way again, taking our youngest daughter (the nurse) to the airport for her flight to Manchester and an English wedding. I'll try harder to remember that the road into Orlando Intl. Airport has a 35 mph limit, and not the 53 mph I got clocked at yesterday. <G>
Have a nice day, CruiseMates. And let's all try to keep that speed down!
And Lisa, the only way to avoid losing money at a casino is to avoid entering in the first place. Trust me, a guy who has never been able to follow his own advice. lol
Good Morning CruiseMates!!! Looks like a nice day coming up here in NH's Lakes Region. I hope I will be able to get out and enjoy some of the time. I took Patty to the bank to cash the check sent by her guardian for the trip. She and I are officially "paid" It was a good lesson for her about money. She just thought we were going without thinking about the money involved to go. Last night was another Foster Parenting Class. This one was about state rules and regulations. Busy busy busy!! Hoping to go to the cottage this weekend to open it for the season. Lane will have to go into the lake to connect the water. Brrr....... just a few short weeks ago it was covered with ice. Have a good day all.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
Good morning everyone! I can hardly believe that just one week ago today I was boarding a ship....and now it is over! How sad! Last night's Amazing Race was very exciting and I'm very happy with the outcome. I don't want to give away who won for those who don't know yet. Looks like a rainy day in the "Burgh" but we have mild temps. You all have a great day.

Local newspaper headlines: ''Moncton promised biggest show ever''. it goes on: ''Rolling Stones set to start us up`` . And on: ''Promoter says stage for Rolling Stones' Moncton concert will be bigger than any apartment building that exists in Atlantic Canada''. ''Stones roll into Moncton Sept.3``
For CruiseMates wanting to see The Rolling Stones the admission is $99.00 Cdn + taxes. Within a day or two of the announcement, all motels & hotels were booked.
There's also a photo of Mick Jaggar. The man is way past the age of 60 and still leads the world's biggest band. Quite amazing!. They expect over 60000 people at the concert. If you plan to come, bring your rain coats. We have a history of rain for outdoor concerts.
This concert should put Moncton on the world's map.
Good Morning Everyone!!!! Gloomy morning here in NYC. Suits my mood just fine. I have been asked to do the impossible at work by the incompetent on behalf of the totally ungrateful.
Everyone have a great day!!!

Yesterday was beautiful, but today we have rain in the forecast. I slipped out of work early yesterday so I could sit on my deck, in the sun and read a book. I got burned. I was so disgusted with myself. There was a slight breeze, so I just didn't realize how hot the sun really was.
Off to work very soon. Son has a track meet at three, then off to Bible Study. Hopefully the Meet will be finished before I have to go and teach.
Agree w/ ML - the Amazing Race ended well. So did the Red Sox game. I had to flip back and forth, but flipped channels at just the right time to watch Millar win the game.
It will be up in the 80's again here in Avon Park, FL with a 20% chance of a stray thundershower in the "Inland" areas--that's us! It's from a disturbance up by Jacksonville.
At the moment it looks as if our little anniverary dinner in Dayton is just going to be a small family affair. Our major friends will be out of town. Oh well, one of our main intentions was to see the "children" anyway! This may work out well-to sit down and actually enjoy a meal together.
My boss returns from vacation today, and will probably hit the place running.I know she has been in communication with different dept heads via her cell phone so isn't completely out of the loop. The work pace will feel more hurried now. It was great to have a more relaxed week with the former boss.By the way, the new one is a year and a half older than me and everyone tells her to "slow down".
One sad note-one of our 6 1/2 year residents is dying, and may have passed away by this morning. He came in just before I started to work there and is just about a spitting image of my deceased grandfather who died when I was a teen-ager. This fellow is 91 and broke his hip on Sunday and has other problems. He's been our "drill sgt" of our activities room-assembler, painter, fixer-upper, etc. He can be LOUD-but really has a heart of gold beneath it all. Prayers have been requested at work.
Oh, the Rolling Stones will be in Tampa Oct. 19! They must be travelling the East Coast circuit!!
Bye for now. It would be nice to have them on one of our cruises but the Ship would never be the same-but talk about your rockin' and rollin' at a fever "pitch". Lynne
PS. KimJack-after close to 30 years of driving I haven't been "caught" speeding yet-our days are numbered!!!!
Morning all, from Montreal, where at 8:30 a.m it is already 18C! We hit 27 yesterday, and it was 20-something overnight - first warm night this year. Our little heat wave will break today though, with thundershowers predicted this afternoon, and back to 10C tomorrow. Oh well, enjoyed it while it lasted....
Not much exciting today, except LOST at 8p.m. I am SO hooked on that show, I can't wait for the next episode!
Good morning mates..it is a beautiful day here in swfl...Phyll the cat is doing wonderful and I posted another message under my cat thread. I am so happy!
Today I am doing nothing. I need a break and will just sit and enjoy the day. Maybe I will hop in the pool as it is now warm enough.
We had a great time with my MIL and I was sad for her to leave. Mothers day on the island was awesome and some of my kids got burned. We kept putting factor 45 on but the sun is very dangerous. But Aiden was under the umbrella and I kept a close eye on him<so did his mother off course>! I will post some pictures maybe today.
HAve awonderful day..Thanks for the prayers for our cat!

What a great day! Lots to do again this weekend. Still getting things in order for all the family arriving in a few weeks. It is getting exciting. I always look forward to my dad coming down! Have a super Wednesday everyone!
Friends are kisses blown to us by angels. ~Author Unknown
My ears may never be the same! Our neighbors are having some work done at their house and little Bubba has been barking pretty much continuously since the first truck showed up 45 minutes ago. He takes great exception to anyone on "his" street!
Guess I'll be stuck at home most of the day waiting for the air-conditioning people. It got up to 92F yesterday and they have not yet been out for our prepaid spring service. The AC worked but I kept having to turn the thermostat up to get it to cut off.... it was running for over an hour at a time. They usually have to charge it w/ freon every spring as we have a small leak.... but has not been done yet. I can't complain a lot as it is a 27-year-old unit that came with the house! We know we'll have to replace it someday soon, but every year we say, "next year" because it still works pretty well and that is an expensive thing to replace. Also supposed to be in the 90s today and tomorrow, then storms Friday and a cool weekend.
So nice to hear that most of our cruisemates are in an upbeat place today.... I know I am and it's good to feel that some of us w/ problems are getting our heads above water... hope things continue to go well for us all. And many thanks to Donna and PapaBill for the great cruise reports...... they raise everyone's spirits!
Good morning from Long Island. Sun is trying hard to shine but the clouds are winning. Not too cold and not too warm, just perfect for filling the dumpster. (and it is filling up quite quickly).
5 more sleeps till the moving company comes. Better get moving and start packing those last minute things. Thumper is coming up today to rescue my plants and take the stash of liquor that we have accumulated while cruising in the islands. She'll bring that stuff and the generator we bought in Delaware all down to Florida in June when she comes down to visit.
Pretty soon I'll be able to start concentrating on that wonderful Liberty transatlantic cruise we have coming up. It's still at least 5 months away so it has taken a back seat to all the moving problems, but it's getting closer. Have our air and hotel in Rome booked and once we are settled in Florida all I have to do is count the days.
Good morning from a cloudy/bit of sun Vancouver.
DougR-I agree with your work statement today!lol Had a bad night at work last night as we were one person short on the dayshift. Found out very unexpectedly that my shifts will be changed starting June 18 (and most everyone else's).No warning that I heard of that they were changing or anything. Then I made a small error(nothing major) that they will have to fix this morning.
AR fans-I ,too, got home to see the last hour. VERY happy with the outcome!(Whew!)
Tweety-keep a 'packing!
Today is my daughter's 14th birthday. Wed.is always our busy day with both girls having Ballet, my husband has his woodcarving class-of course Wed. will be my new evening shift instead of Tuesday evenings.(GRR!) This evening is a special Character Dance Ensemble lesson from a group from the University of Utah(our ballet teacher knows the Director). Both my girls will be going;the youngest was specially invited by our Ballet eacher even though she is only 8(not 9). So I have no idea when we celebrate the birthday girl! Might have 30 min.after school! lol
Sorry for the 'rant' about work!
Hope everyone's day goes well. Take care. Bye for now. Brenda
