This is a bittersweet day. Been in this house for 44 years so leaving is sad, but we're moving to a new phase of our life in WARM Florida. No more snow and zero temperatures.
Was gonna take this computer offline last nite, but fell asleep before I got to it. Signing off now....Moving truck will be here in minutes. Will chat with you all from Florida on either Friday or Saturday.
I hope this next chapter of your lives is filled with only great things.....Please don't flip the bird to anyone on the highway travel safe and get ready for lots of company..I hope the TRIP wing of the property, has a big closet xoxoxooxox Linda & Bruce.
Have a safe drive, the two of you. Keith and I always said that this would be our retirement home, partly because it's all on one level, partly because of the neighborhood where we've lived for over 30 years, and a lot because we love Southern California and its wonderful climate. But things change, and maybe our future will include different digs as well. I fervently hope not, though.
May you both have a happy new life with lots of good health and good friends.
You made it!! It's always nostalgic and sentimental having to move after so many years in one place. But, you are among your Florida friends now and we'll make your life a memorable one to add more happy occasions and memories to your repetoire! Now that you're here permanently with da Coot, we can plan another get together maybe this summer sometime! WELCOME, and many hugs!! Lynne
Tweety, I can sympathize with the bitter part. One of the hardest things I had to do was watch my mom leave her home of 43 years, when we transferred her to Palliative Care. She didn't know any better by that point, but it sure was hard on me. So many memories in that house, and I am still dealing with them on a daily basis, trying to sell it and all it's contents. I'll be glad when it's over. Just wish I had Florida weather to look forward to! Wishing you much happiness in your new home!
