Default HowD from Stockholm

Today is our first port day, after two days at sea, and we're in Stockholm. Raining and 50s F. We're going to Old Town, and the Ice Bar this afternoon.

Were planning on just wandering this morning, but rain may have "put a damper" on those plans.

Food and service so far have been up to Celebrity (and our) standings. The ship looks pretty darn good in most areas. A couple of spots are looking a bit dated... but the staff is friendly, nice and warm.... which makes up for the occassional frayed sofa.

Hi Kuki,
Hope the rain doesn't interfere with your plans today. Good to hear you are enjoying the ship, staff and food....hope you're able to stick to your new eating routine?

Have FUn!

Let's see. You are in Stockholm, enjoying a cruise through the Baltics, on Celebrity, probably at the expense of Cruisemates, or at least a greatly discounted (if not free) cabin for the group booking through Nancy, and you have the b@lls to complain about a frayed sofa??????

Tell ya' what Antlerhead. Next time I'll suffer through this ordeal in your place!

Regards,
Thomas

Hi Kuki
If it's any consolation, it's been raining down here in Florida, too! Only, it's in the 80's and not the 50's.
I have some friends in Sweden so I'm glad that you have the chance to travel there, frayed couch or not!
Most days I've been following the Star Princess adventures over there, as we will be on that ship in Oct, about 2 weeks after her return from her transatlantic voyage. I'm going to look to see how many cigarette burns there are in the carpeting! <BG>

Have a nice time over there! Lynne

RD, frayed means torn and tattered. Kuki, you should have the weather we have now in SoCal. Overcast mornings and warm sunny afternoons, plesant evenings. Anyway, enjoy your cruise, rain or no rain.

It's good to hear that food is up to par. Weather sounds more like Alaska. Hope you have a great trip.

I understand a frayed sofa but not a frayed soda.

Liam, that's exactly my point! I understand what FRAYED is, just not pertaining to a soda!

Gee, Thomas... sounds like your nerves are more frayed than the sofas <G> Must be retirement.

There's no cruisemates group with me on this sailing. I'm just here to enjoy the cruise, write a review and an article.

Though it may be one that lots of people want, it's my job... and I don't think you'd object to me being payed to do my job any more that you'd have understood people complaining about what you were being paid to do your job, when you were working.

I'd even bet that you like to get paid for the work in your own restaurant <G>

Meanwhile the weather in Stockholm cooperated enough that we made our trip to the Ice Bar, and Old Town. Ice Bar was pretty "cool" (pun)!
