Good morning from the Pacific Northwest.....not quite here yet......Monday morning that is......but we just got home from taking Miss Alice home & before I went to bed wanted to say 'mornin'........raining tonight & chilly.....chance of thunder showers.........Oh well.....I guess we do need the rain........
Not too much for today.....just off to the doctors for both of us.........yuck!!! <S>
Mornin', Sharon, from Southern California where it's only 11 p.m. If you read my recent post, you know I'm still up and around. I missed all of the weather reports, so I assume tomorrow will be nice. We saw almost no sun today. I like the cool, though.
This morning, Keith works out, after that, I have to grapple with the banks. They don't want to deposit our automatic house payment where they're supposed to.
More ironing on the agenda. I want us to go away for our wedding anniversary at the end of the month, no matter what it costs. I need to get away.
Good Morning CruiseMates!! What a nice weekend I had. Lane and Patty have gone to the cottage for the weekend I just enjoyed myself. No cooking!!. Went out to bingo Friday night and had dinner out. Saturday I shopped with my cousin. Of course a requirement of shopping is having lunch out <VBG> A very enjoyable day. Sunday I again went to bingo and ate lunch out. Back to reality and work this morning. Have a great dayCruiseMates
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
Good morning, Sharon, Judy, Lisa, Laura and all the CM's to follow. I hate those weekends where you feel like you never had a weekend...know what I mean? I had to come back to work to get a break! The weekend was nice. Jackie and Jason's lunch on Saturday at their last year's reception site was nice, Jackie was surprised with the Vegas trip from Jason. Then we had a nice time at their picnic later that day. Yesterday, Jackie and I went to our arts festival and that was really nice! There is a photographer there that I just love. I purchased another one of his photos and I love it. One of my favorites is a seascape from Sunset Beach, in NC. That one is in my bedroom....makes me think of CRUISING....go figure. Have a great day!

Good morning from Orlando. I spent yesterday getting the guest room and the rest of the house ready for my sister and her husbands visit later in the week. We all go to Largo on Friday for our brothers wedding on Saturday. YAY!
Getting a guest room ready might not sound like a big deal but this is the room we've been using as a catch all since we moved in here in Oct. '03! Nice to finally be able to use it.
Angela Z. who is working on her regular day off so she can be off later in the week.
Lisa: My advice to you re your up-coming visit to Las Vagas... When you walk into a multi-million casino and some billion dollar casinos and you see the thousand of slot machines, un-beleiveable chanderliers, thousand of employees, fantastic furniture etc., remember who pays for all that...LOSERS.
My DW likes to play the slots, so when we go to a casino, she sets aside the $$$ amount that she can afford to lose for that particular day. Most of the time it happens quite fast. Do not dig in the next day amount.
See gambling for what it is, ENTERTAINMENT and nothing else. We have friends who go at the local casino on a regular basis. When they win, thet don't say how much it cost them to win.
Local headline news: ''Mammoth yard sale still attracts a crowd''' it goes on: ''Moncton Headstart raises $82000.00 as thousands crowd Agrena in hunt for bargains``
Headstart is a community organization to help the people in need such as the Fod Bank.
Good morning from SE Florida where it is not raining at last!!! Actually it didn't rain yesterday either. Just have some clouds we need to get out of the way.
My brother had to take his boss for another trip to the Bahamas last week, and he brought back a bunch of huge stone crab claws for us to feast on. YUM! Did you know that when they get stone crab claws, they take the largest claw off of the crab, and then they throw the crab back into the water where it will grow a new claw to replace the one that is taken? I like the idea that the crab gets to live, and we still get to enjoy the delicious crab meat.
Lisa, my advise to you is to have lots of fun in Las Vegas! I know how much you have been looking forward to this trip. One of these days, I'd like to go to Vegas just to see the sights.
I'm back from vacation! Not much of a vacation because we spent the whole week on our church festival. We spent three and a half days setting up. The first day it was drizzling rain until about 9:00pm, then it really started to rain, so everybody was gone by closing time two hours later. Saturday was a beautiful day, with temps around 80. We had a really good crowd. Even better, there were no major problems for the maintanance man (Me!). After Mass yesterday, it took about 6 hours to tear all of the lights and temporary wiring down. It was really tough because the humidity was high and the temps were about 85. Ugh!
It was so hot last night that I couldn't sleep, so I'm glad to get back to work to rest up. It will take me a while to read all the posts from the past week, so I might have a few things to say later on. If I can stay awake long enough, I'll try to see you on chat tonight.
I too had a busy weekend. Endless driving, endless sitting, nothing accomplished around the house.
Today I'll have to make up for it. Tons to do at work, and at home.
I have a Physical Therapy appointment today, I need to call the Vet and the eye doctor.
Ed - glad to hear that you had a successful Fair
Phyll - I too am glad to hear the crab lives.
BW - that is awesome. Just think of the people that the money will help feed.
Angela - I know all about catch-alls, and what it takes to whip them into shape
MaryLou - what is the subject of the new photo you purchased?
The sun is shining here in Avon Park,FL--in the morning!!!!! Gradually the precip has been diminishing from all day events.
Don't have much time to tarry-it's after 8AM. Trevor deflated the inflatable kayak yesterday after having me take some pictures of him in it. Now it's back in the bag and we have more space in the living room!
Take care, one and all! Lynne
Good Morning Mates and it's back to work for me..Hope they call today and tell me my yard tractor is ready..Have not mowed the grass in 2 weeks..I am going to have to either mow it or open up a safari camp.>G< Oh well..hope your weekend was a good one and hope you all have a wonderful Monday.
please stay safe and prayers to all in need and Bon Voyage to all leaving out.
Morning ALl, from a much cooler Montreal. We had a fantastically hot (80's) weekend, but I didn't get to enjoy much of it outdoors. Too busy running around, the wedding, shopping, more running around, housework, etc. I've got 2 weeks off at the end of June, and I can't wait! It's off to work for me today, and a rest!
Good Morning all!!! Celebrated my Moms 90th yesterday. My sister and brother-in-law took her to dinner. The suprise was when Marj and I showed up, we had taken her out the night before and we even called her an hour before and sang happy birthday. She was fooled!!!! My 55th is tomorrow and I anticipate little in the way of suprises except those unpleasant ones that happen at work.
Everyone have a great day!!!!
