Arrived in Helsinki, Finland this morning, to unseasonably cold weather. You could see your breath on deck.
The skies were overcast, but rain held off long enough for us to take the Celebrity shuttle into town, and Mrs. Kuki and I just explored and wandered. Downtown Helsinki is a very pleasant, and interesting area to stroll.
Tomorrow is two full days to enjoy St. Petersburg... and we've arranged a private tour to do some different things than we did the last visit.. plus, of course, visit the Hermitage again.
Just pretend it's Minot, North Dakota! We learned to dress in layers! If it warms up you can always delayer, but if you don't dress warmly enough, you're darn chilly!
We got used to those winters up there, as much as the Northwest USA folks got used to the rainy weather. You have a bit of both.
I'm glad that it didn't deter you and Mrs. Kuki from enjoying the sights. Did you find a nice warm fire waiting for you upon your return, or was the hot tub warm enough to thaw you out?! Take care. Lynne ( even a "virtual" fire on a tv set can have the same soothing results!)
