Default Melting in Montreal!

The rest of the year I complain about the cold here in Montreal, now I'm complaining about the heat! We are having an unusual heat wave (compliments of Tropical Storm Arlene moving hot air up our way). Humidity factor was up to 40C today, that's 100F!!
My sister invited us over for a swim in her new pool, and when we arrived, it was a surprise party for my 50th, with all my friends and family! We had a fantastic afternoon in the pool, and believe me, there was no better place to be! The decorations were all purple, and so were the presents and the cake. They even made me a big straw hat decorated with purple ribbon, flowers and "50" spelled out with purple stick-on gems.
One of those days when you're just glad to be alive, and blessed with so many wonderful people in your life....

OK, alright, you just keep complaining about the heat...........! I've been at the beach and left when Arlene started moving through. Just show up in Georgia some day in July and we'll show you what heat and humidity is really like..........!

Happy 50th RD and many, many happy returns and flamingos! Enjoy, enjoy! Time for another cruise, huh?

Lynne, I am the QUEEN of PURPLE - it's an obsession! I forgot the mention the purple floating flowers in the swimming pool - nice touch!

Sorry to hear about the sticky heat but sounds like you had a great way to handle it! Hope it's cooling off for you soon.

what no flamingos???????
I feel your pain as we are sweltering here in Mass as well. It just got too humid way to fast. We had a couple of nasty thunderstorms roll thru yesterday with heavy rain that thankfully washed away a lot of the nasty pollen that was everywhere.

CC, I don't like Tinky Winky either, and he's purple. Barney and TW are probably the only exceptions to my love of purple! Can't explain it!
