Woke up to a steady rain this morning as we sailed into Oslo. Donned the rain suit, and headed off to explore. This is our first time to Oslo, and it looks like a nice city... but it was Sunday and most everything was closed. Combine that with the rain, and it left us a bit disappointed, though we still strolled for over 2 hrs.
We've used more "cold weather clothes" this trip than during all our cruises to Alaska. However, with weather you never know, as when we sailed the Baltic two years ago, we were mostly in shorts.
Tough to believe we're at night 11of 12 already. Tomorrow is a sea day (packing) then a 16 hr plus travel day to get home.
We've had a most enjoyable cruise. The crew onboard is delightful in every way... even the staff at guest relations <G>
Had dinner with Captain Proganis one evening, along with his wife, daughter, and parents who are visiting the ship. Have noted that many officers have their wives or families sailing with them at the moment. Easier for most of them to join the ship over here, than when she's in the Caribbean.
Too bad about the weather. Sounds more like what we ran into last September in Vancouver and Alaska. Still can't wait for the full story. Enjoy your final day and may your 16 hours of travel pass peacefully and with no problems.
