Good morning, Theta, from Southern California where we still expeience the season's first real heat, and so will our bank accounts!
Today was wonderful as concerns temps. SIL fixed the computer that my DH regularly messes up.
I want to tell you about a "rescue dog I met recently. Rusty is a Pomeranian. He was too large for the standard, so his breeder didn't want him. The "thing" she gave hinm to abused the dog. He then went to a rescue place. Then my CPA got him. Rusty was terrified of kids, and did his business whenever he was confronted with kids. Well, the new owner's business partner had a sister who was an animal trainerl. After much work, Rusty now loves kids and comes to adults as well. He cuddled with me a few days ago. I'm so glad there was a happy ending for at least one dog.
Off to the gym . . . still under the weather . . . hurts to breathe . . . will call the doctor today.
It is another fine Monday morning. Sitting at Orlando airport for another trip up North. This place wouldn't be too bad except for all the tourists. :-)
See everyone in chat tonight!

Good morning Melissa, Judy, CC, Marc and all the CM's to follow. It is going to be another steamy day in the "Burgh". I honestly do not remember the last time it was this hot. I attempted to prepare the outside of the house for painting over the weekend. I didn't get too far...the heat pushed you right back inside. It is very hard working on the outside and hearing that air conditioner run!! My daughter and her husband went "house shopping" in WV on Saturday. They made an offer on the last one they saw and found out yesterday that their offer was accepted. Now, they have to sell their house here! Keep your fingers crossed for them! Have a great day!

It's going to be another hot one here in upstate NY, too. around 90 for the 4th straight day. We tried to get out of the heat yesterday and went to the movies. Saw the Star Wars flick, and was a bit dissapointed. At least we now know the story behind Darth Vader's asthma. <G>
Good Morning all,
Melissa, glad you got your power back. To the rest of you, try and stay cool. Hard to believe it's Mon. already. Ugh, this is a killer week. Have B'day on Wed for oldest who is in a play that night, have to take foster daughter on trial run driving into Tampa so she can experience highway here, got supply list for back to school, (4weeks left here in Fl.) and sometime find my garden that has been overtaken by weeds. Sat. we head to Typhoon Lagoon. I need a vacation from this vacation. Hang in there and have a good one
Anne
Good Morning everyone from Central Texas. It is suppose to be hot here, but we still need rain. I am still trying to get my house in order. I have been in a classroom all winter, son's grad in the end of May, and then our cruise. Can't seem to get the house organized. Soon it will be time to go back to school, and I will still be complaning. lol
Good Morning Everyone!!!! Back from Seattle and only a three day week before vacation. Will be taking family to Orlando. Brought a Copper River Sockeye Salmon home and it is now a memory as I introduced it to the grill yesterday.
Everyone have a great day!!!!

Another Hot one here, and I'm not complaining. I'm loving it!!!!!
Phyll - you've been in my thoughts and prayers this weekend.
Theta - glad you got your power back.
Wow - is all I can say to describe this weekend. Sat - I finally got a chance to work on some paperwork - at 10 my husband came in and said if I had outside stuff I'd want to be getting started as it was heating up. So I switched gears. I had my plants to tend. Son helped out, of course my husband go called out. We saw him again at about 6:30 when he got half the lawn mowed, then called out again - he got home at 10. I got in my perreniels, did my planters and planted the remaining annuals. The I thought I'd do just a bit of pruning - about a half a pick-up load later I decided I'd better call it quits. Needless to say I over did. Then I cleaned up best I could around the pool and other odd jobs. In the evening I finally had a chance to head to the grocery store and get the stuff for the party. Got up early for more preperations. Went to church, snuck out a little early. Husband didn't even go - he had to finish the lawn, set up tables, clean the pool and a bunch of other stuff. We got it all done just about when the first guests arrived.
It was a great day for a pool party - very hot. We had about 30 folk I'd estimate. They packed away the food. The last guest left about 8 p.m. I was in bed by 9:15 - exhausted.
Today will be another busy one. Appointment at Physical Therapy at 9, then to work. Our Church belongs to a Natural Food Cooperative - so today is the monthly delivery of orders to the church. The lady in charge can't be their so I have to be responsible for unloading the truck and getting the orders checked and the paperwork completed.
After that I'm heading home because I'm ordered some stuff that will need to be put in the freezer. My friend and her grandsons are coming to swim this afernoon (the are a bit unruly and they stress me out - but what can I do?) so that will take up a good share of the day. Also, my niece from CT is here for the week. On the third is my sisters Annual BBQ - a big family/friend gathering. The kids have snuck behind their parents backs and turned it into a 30th Anniversary Party for them. My older brother and sister and mother and my sister's 3 kids and myself are all chipping in on a gift. Of course not everyone agrees on it and its all pretty much fallen into my lap -so I'm putting my niece to work on helping me sort this out - our deadline (self-imposed is Tuesday). Of course my nephew (The groomzilla) won't return our calls. Also on Sunday, July 3 is a Bridal shower for Groomzilla fiancee. Of course it will be poolside at my home. Also on that day is a huge Family Reunion for my husbands family - people will have traveled from all over the country - and I can only attend for about an hour due to the already planned events (shower/30th Ann) on my family's side. What a mess. I need to prepare food for all three events that day. Also, on Friday my husband's brother's family arrives at my mil for a 10 day visit. Of course we will have to spend lots of time with them, and on Sat is at 25th Anniversary party for my husbands very best friend. My husband is also on call again this week. To top it all off I have to squeeze in a hair appointment, my first Orthodontis (sp) appointment and my son is having his Senior Pictures done, of course my weekly Bible Study - and who knows what else will end up happening - that isn't scheduled - there will sure to be something. Last week I thought my plate was full, now that I've thought about this week it makes last week seem like dessert - this week seems to be even more jam packed. I think next week is a little less eventful, except for the fact that my bil and family will still be here and they always demand lots of attention and are not very fun to be around.
I've gotta run if I'm gonna make my appointment on time.
Good Monday Mates, Another H&H day in SE Florida. Rained during the night so today its really yukky out there! Trying to keep Ellis down until his hand heals completely, is a job in itself. He wants to so everything now. <<<<BG>>>> TA just got our Alaska cruise and air set for May, next year. Love having the cruises stacked. Wishing you all rain it you need it and cool breezes. Seems Florida is cooler this year than up north. Theta congratulations on the B. Mary Lou congrats to your DD&SIL on the new house and good luck selling the other one. The way the market has been it is crazy down here. Our house has literally doubled in what we paid 4 years ago. Would not sell we love it, but where can you go with all the prices going up so much.
VTJen, take a BIG breath. Count to ten, let it out slowly. There's that's better. Sheesh!
Another hot and humid one here in Montreal. High of 32C expected, plus humidity, puts us in the 90'sF. No big plans, but I suspect a visit to my sister's pool might be in order. I'm on vacation another week, trying to decide what to do with our houseguests.
Gotta go, talk to ya later...
Good morning cruisers. My in-laws and my hubby's uncle and aunt are on a cruise this week, on the Explorer of the Seas. "Jealous" doesn't even begin to describe how Mark and I are feeling! We console ourselves by remembering that this is the hottest time of the year and that there are probably 500 kids on the ship.
Everyone have a good day. Short week for me, and a 4-day weekend coming up, so today ought to be easy to get through despite being a Monday.
Good morning from sunny Central Florida. Gonna rain later today but that is the norm around here. You just get used to it.
Michelle, even the hottest time of the year with 500 kids on a ship beats being home I think. Or maybe I'm just in really bad Cruise Withdrawal. 115 days is a long way off.
Hi Kids,
Another hot day in beantown, but that's ok with me...No tlong ago it was snowy and 10 degrees!!
My daughter, a Red Sox fan, [putting it mildly,] is sending me on a mission, to get the Red Sox wristband of the day, being offerred by the Boston Globe, and sold in some stores in the area. So, that and a trip to the library and the bank is enough for me today...have a good one kids!!

Good morning from sunny tropical WI. Thank heavens for AC.
Not much on the schedule today. Will have to reschedule the doctors appointment that got canceled. Then if I feel like it, I'll call the insurance company and see if they can take care of the $22,000 bill I got from my March radiation treatments. Good thing this isn't new or I'd be in a real panic about owing that. Don't know if it's the insurance co. or the hospital billing office that keeps goofing these bills up.
Hope you all have a great week, and some of you get to book a cruise.
I opened my eyes this morning and my own dog was staring at me, my own wife was laying next to me, so it must be a good day. <VBG>
It is a thundering morning in the land where you only get to watch 3/4 of your TV picture because of severe weather warnings. If there is a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning anywhere in the state they take the bottom and side of the screen to display "SKY WARN 5" or whatever. It's part of summer in Minnesota.
Take care,
Mike

Good morning from Orlando.
Had a very lazy day yesterday.....the new lounge chairs are great!
Today will be laundry, grocery shopping, all the stuff that didn't get done yesterday.
Angela Z.
Good morning CM's from mile high Payson, AZ. Temps this AM were 10 degrees cooler than yesterday. High expected in the low 90's today. Humidity is only 20 %, which makes it quite comfortable during the day.
Have to take the Tracker back to repair shop this morning and have them check out why A/C quit on me after having repairs done only last Monday!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Later on this morning Susan and I will be going to the Athletic Club to get our workouts in. Three days a week, Mon-Wed-Fri. Sure helping Susan out in walking better after two broken legs and a hip replacement. For me it's Cardio Rehab.
Have a great day and for the rest of you out there..........KEEP COOL. <G>
Good Monday morning! going to be a short 4 day work week for me. We are leaving Friday for the holiday weekend to go camping with our dear friends in Lake George, NY. Its about a 2-1/2hr ride for us, we want to hit the roads by 1pm, can't wait.
Hi from New York. This weekend was unbearably hot and muggy, in the mid-90's, but it's about ten degress cooler today, although still humid. For me, summer is the worst season of the year in New York.
I took Micky, my 8-month old Shih Tzu to Central Park at 8 am this morning where he ran in an open field with other dogs until he dropped. We came home and he rough housed with Lilly, one of my cats, which he loves. Then, a nap. I couldn't take him out when the heat was bad because dogs of his breed (from Tibet originally) have a poor tolerance of high temeratures and can suffer from heat stroke. I've just added a photo of Micky to the photo gallery
Micky is from a farm in Oklahoma. His breeder has nine children which, I figured, made her a good bet to raise dogs. Fortunately I was right, he's fabulous. And, Shih Tzu is a perfect breed for apartment dwellers in New York. I do see plenty of large dogs here and I'm glad I don't have one that needs hours of exercise each day.
Morning one and all
Ok with less than three weeks until my Alaska cruise I guess I should think about packing----glad its not to tough-- since Ive been there before and had done a great job really cutting back on my over packing--- --now if only my son and husband would check out their crusie clothes before a panic shopping trip sets in-----------I can say I told you so---hahahha
Off today and its kind of nice-- no plans ---I might even cook dinner tonight and surpise everyone-------
Weather out here in my part of CA has been great----
Wishing everyone well --take care -- have a great day and stay safe-
Anne, nice to see you posting on the good morning thread. I checked out your pic of Micky and he is adorable! Think he'd like to meet a beautiful Golden named Emma?
She loves a good romp in the park as well!
Sounds like N.Y. weather is much the same as Montreal this week. The heat is unbearable, for both dogs and humans!
