Good morning from Southern California, yet again. I can't believe I'm the first to wish everyone a happy day. Boy, is it hot here. Lots of power outages.
I found out today that Wendell, Keith's brother, had a blood clot in his leg, because before he had eye surgery a few weeks ago to correct double vision, the doctors stopped his blood pressure meds a few days before the surgery. Now that Wendell is back on the meds, they docs say he shouldn't have any more clots.
Keith took the weekend off of his exercises, and both of us could tell the difference. Back to six days a week for him!
We have a big fair going on here. Anybody else have fairs, no, not affairs, , going on in your areas?
Im back from my weekend in Big "D"..... did lots of shopping / hunting... hunting for the PERFECT jeans for my 15 yo/ds... they had to be a certain brand, certain color, certain cut, etc... 3 malls !!! UGHHHH!!!!
Other than that not much going on here, we had 2 fish kick the bucket while we were gone & another one today.... I think MAYBE they have been overfed.... those silly fish... its like a buffet line on a cruise & they just dont know when to STOP EATING !! I really enjoy feeding em just to see all the pretty colors... I guess Im the murderer !!
Anyway... have a nice day everyone... catch ya on the flip side !
Good morning Judy, Steph and Nancy. At least I've been to bed, but the pup woke me up and I guess that's it for sleeping. Haven't had much rain here in Oviedo in the past two days and that is a welcome change but boy has it been hot and humid. Nice pool weather.
Haven't been able to reach my kids in Cancun since the storm, gonna try again in a little while. I'm hoping that the saying "No News is Good News" holds true here. They were safely tucked away in their hotel rooms when I last talked to them.
Only 52 days till Marylou and Sharon arrive here in Orlando. Looking forward to that but Only 92 more days till we leave for Rome and the Liberty Transatlantic. Now that's exciting.
Not much on the agenda today, so I'll probably do some sewing and then it's pool time.
Good Morning CruiseMates!! A hot one on tap today for NH's Lakes Region. It will be 90 and cloudy. T-storms this afternoon. We had T-storms yesterday that seemed to just make the air heavier. Yes Judy we have many fairs here in NH. they seem to start in Aug and end in October. Last year we took the our senior group of dd/mr people to Hopkinton Fair. They had such a great time. Have a great day CruiseMates.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
Good morning everyone from wet Ohio. It is raining here this morning with a temp of 72, and going to reach in the 80's and muggy.
Judy our fair starts here next week though I probally won't go. I don't think I have been there in about 4 years. My daughter was in 4-H with our dog for many years so I was there lots. Love the food though!!!!! Can you san grease!
Tweety I hope you here from your kids in Cancun soon. I will pray for there safety.
Good morning from Orlando where I agree with Tweety.....it's perfect pool weather but sadly I go back to work today. Oh well, had a great time floating yesterday once I got all the real life stuff out of the way.
Hope all our Texas cruisemates stay safe with Emily.
It is definately a pool morning but have lots of things to do 1st. Have appts to schedual, finish back to school shopping, pay bills (ick) and laundry. Than hopefully afternoon storms will allow some pool time
Stay cool is good advice Anne! Here in Montreal we are still in the middle of a heat wave, including humidity index over 40C (100+F). I am so thankful for air conditioning!
I'm not sure if I will be going in to work today, if I can find a substitute, I will stay home. Yesterday morning, just before I left for work, I bent down and something went "snap" in my back, and I was in agony all day, and all last night. I can walk around, but every so often something lets go and I'm afraid I will fall. The pain radiates all around to the front, and it is very uncomfortable. Subs are hard to come by during the summer, but I am not of much use at work either!
Have been reading Harry Potter as much as I can - over 1/2 way now, and enjoying every page! My son is hanging around, begging me to hurry up and finish (or go to bed) so he can read for a few hours!
Good Morning all!!!! Lovely morning in NYC which is covered by a blanket of haze. Yuck!!!! Better here than home in Jersey anyway where DW is forcing me to slave like a government mule in the hot sun landscaping the backyard in time for Bridezilla 2's shower in late August. I have to admit it is fun running the rototiller - I bet there isn't a mole or vole within a mile of my house.
Everyone have a great day!!!!

Just a quick hello again. Hot, muggy, t-showers around later in the day in Avon Park,FL. High of 90+
I got a letter from work a couple of days ago saying I had 155 vacation days accumulated! Hot Dog! When do I take a 3 week cruise? I knew better, as I struggle each year with my 3 weeks to have enough days to take off when my son visits in Dec.
Sure enough, the figures given to the Human Relations person were wrong. I actually have 71.5 left, which is more like it. But----I have only taken one real sick day in 6 1/2 years. Too bad I can't trade sick days for vacation. <BG>
Good Morning from Central texas. It is going to be hot today. We have had some rain the last few days, but it has made the heat index go up, so I guess we are paying for it. Teens are busy with there lives, and i am on day two of my diet. Worked out last night, so I am feeling a few more aches and pains this morning.
Everyone have a good day. Tweety, hope you hear from your kids soon. Keep us informed.
Morning cruisers! And hello fellow TX Luanne. I'm in central TX too, close to Austin. Whereabouts are you?
Looks like it's Texas' turn for a hurricane. South Padre Island is beginning to evacuate some residents, and I have nephew living in that area. Hang on tight Eric! I'll be in SPI for a beach bumming trip in mid-August, so I'm hoping there is not too much damage. If Emily stays weak as she is right now, hopefully everything will be ok. Central TX should could use some of the rain she is going to bring, but looks like Mexico will be getting the brunt of the storm.
Morning from the Pacific Northwest......sun is shinning......upper 70's for today....warm for us......it has been humid here.....very unusual for us......at least the nice weather is here to stay......or so they say.....
Tweety..............thoughts on your kids.....keep us informed.......
Will be nice to see tweety & Mary Lou in 52 days......can't wait......oh yeah.....can't wait for the cruise either.......<S>
It looks like it will be another beautiful day. It is a nice reprieve after the 11 days of 90 + degree heat we had. It should be in the low 80's and low humidity.
Today will be tile shopping. It looks like we will be updating the flooring in the kitchen. It's time to bring it into the 21st century. This could be the beginning of one those cascading projects. First you do the flooring, then the cabinets, and the counter tops, and before you know it you've spent a small fortune on a new kitchen. I'll have to steer Betty toward tile that matches the existing cabinetry. <VBG>
Tweets: I hope the kids are doing well in Cancun and just partying.
Donna: I hope the back gets better. My son's back is also acting up.
I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Good Morning from hot, hazy, humid Massachusetts. The air is so thick, and nasty, i feel for the folks who have to work outdoors or who have any kind of breathing problems, its like trying to breath thru soup! It was 80 degress at 7am!
I work in an air-conditioned office so i can't complain, its just going outside from the office is like a slap in the face! Cooking, forget that! its just to hot to cook anything indoors, fire up the grill.
A quick Good Morning Mates....Hope you all are doing okay..I have ckd out a few threads but have not been on much..I am doing okay and feel like it will be the first of the year before anything happens here, job wise. All is good so far.
Have a great day and please stay safe...
