Why not just get some good old chocolate? That's always a hit. Ice cream is such a classic that there's no need to be "trendy" with the flavors, in my opinion.

Cheers,
Michelle P.

Vanilla (with chocolate syrup, of course), chocolate, cookie dough, and any ice cream with oreos or peanut butter.

You can also get the trio of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. Asked my daughter and she agrees with Michelle--good old chocolate, with chocolate syrup and chocolate jimmies. FYI--she's a chocoholic.

If they are a bit older, "Phish Food" by Ben and Jerry's is the ultimate and fun with the dark chocolate fish swimming around in the ice cream.

J Bonnell otherwise known as Ma,
I assume you're talking about Andy and Alanah. Asked my 2 and they have no clue. Go with Ben and Jerry's. Can't go wrong with anything chocolate chip. Another vote for Phish Food!

My grandchildren pretty much stick to the basics (chocolate /vanilla) with stuff they add to it . Sprinkles/jimmies, chocolate chips, chocolate sauce. I don't think they like the "mixes" like the various Ben and Jerry's flavors because they are not sure what's in it.

We never have vanilla ice cream at home (I don't care for it), but my mom always kept vanilla ice cream in her freezer, along with Hershey's chocolate sauce, for my son whenever he was visiting. He liked the coloured sprinkles on it too!

You can take my nephew's 5 kids for ice cream and they get vanilla or chocolate!
