I am booked on Princess for Oct 1st. Final payment was July 18th. I called my online agency and asked what I need to do, she said the final payment was computer generated and I do nothing. Ok on the 20th its still not paid so I call back. She said don't worry, it will be. 2 days later my credit card showed the balance was pending on my account and the agency invoice said I owe a zero balance. Yesterday I checked my CC online to pay it off and the pending charge was gone. I called Princess and they said I am paid in full so I called my CC co. and they say there are no pending charges on my account. Am I paid off or not? I don't really know what to do. It can't be charged to another card so thats not it. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
I did call the credit card company and they don't know what happened to the pending charge. My balance is what it was before the cruise was due. I called my son. He has 2 cabins booked on the same cruise and he checked his CC. His pending charge is gone too. He uses a different CC company. So it doesn't make sense. According to Princess our cabins are paid for. My travel agent emailed me our final payment info and it was charged on the 20th. So far nobody knows what happened. Since it was computer generated is it possible that somebody elses CC paid for them?
Beginning to sound just as you suspect. Some other card # used other than yours. You need to have your TA jump in now and straighten this out before you find out later that the cruiseline has bounced your reservation once the CC snafu comes out.
